Good location but I might look at another Hotel to stay in Eastbourne next time
Pros:

Good location
Excellent breakfast

Cons:

The room was very compact and I assumed that as it had a Sea view it would have a balcony which it didn’t

Staff were friendly & apologetic about the problem we encountered with our room .
Pros:

Ideal location , we use this hotel regularly as the accommodation is pleasant and suits our needs .

Cons:

We were disappointed by the fact that repairs to the air conditioning unit had been left incomplete with equipment left hanging off the wall & bare showing from the unit as the work that that had taken place had been left unfinished .

We had a very enjoyable time in Eastbourne and a comfortable night stay at the View Hotel.
Pros:

It was near the sea, the view was good, our room was near to the lift. It was our 50th Anniversary and we decided to spend it as a family by the sea, so when the children and their parents were preparing to go home they all came into the hotel to use the toilet in the bedroom and no one was approached and stopped. We thought we had checked our room properly but as we travelled 30 minutes away we had a phone call that I had left my bag, this was a surprise to us but we were very grateful for the return of the bag.

Cons:

We found the receptionists that booked us in and out was not very welcoming and friendly. However there was a lady at reception during the day that was so pleasant in how she dealt with clients that made a difference to my thoughts regarding what I had experienced. The balcony was filled with cobwebs so it was obvious that it hasnt been cleaned recently. The breakfast was cold at the time we arrived which was around 9.30am or thereabout, but we usually lie in until around 9.00 so I guess its our fault if the food is cold. We didnt want to get up too early on the last day so I asked whether we could have a late check out but was told it would be £15.00 an hour this was disappointing.

Very very good
Pros:

Breakfast was fabulous all you could eat. Room was good but could have done with a small fridge, there was plenty of room under the dressing table. The room had a front facing balcony over looking the sea (fabulous).

On the whole enjoyable stay
Pros:

Spacious bar and eating areas. Friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast.. Good location

Cons:

Shower over the bath. Water scalding hot, not adjustable but was speedily remedied after we brought it to their attention.
Bed and pillows not especially comfortable.
Very small tv in room and connection often dropped out .
