Superb hotel worth every cent
Pros:

Everything - great location. Awesome and friendly staff. Spacious room and very comfortable beds. The room temperature is just right. Corridor well lighted. Lovely breakfast. Awesome complementary of treats of old school sweets and snacks.

Comfortable stay
Pros:

Room was clean and comfortable. Loved the location of the hotel, easy to use bus, taxis and ferry if required. Numerous restaurants and coffee shops within walkable distance as well. The salt-water pool was clean and well maintained. Staff are pleasant and polite.

Cons:

Quality of breakfast could use some improvement. Fruit and toast seemed like the best option here.

Could Have Been Better
Pros:

Hotel location which is close to Indian Street. Comes with covered parking but with a small one-time parking fee. Room comes with local titbits.

Cons:

No prior notice was told to me that the pool was under renovation. There was some renovation works so breakfast was in a different location. The replenishment of food seemed somewhat slow.

The family suite we booked was not available,do we were upgraded to delux suite, which was very nice but my son had to sleep in the living room and use the bathroom in the bedroom. We got woken up a few times

I had a deeply disappointing and frankly unsafe experience at this hotel. During my stay, a broken glass cabinet in the room caused me to cut my finger badly, leaving it bleeding with two deep marks. This is completely unacceptable—no guest should be exposed to such hazards, especially in what is advertised as a 4-star hotel.

I reported the incident immediately and was told the manager would contact me. After having to chase this myself, the manager initially offered a complimentary dinner for my party as compensation. However, this offer was later withdrawn and replaced with three afternoon teas instead.

When we arrived for the afternoon tea, we were shocked to find that only one set had been arranged. Upon raising this, the manager claimed that I had declined the dinner and agreed to just one afternoon tea—something that is completely untrue. I felt this was a clear attempt to misrepresent the situation. The manager also repeatedly shifted blame onto the food and beverage manager rather than taking responsibility.

The entire experience felt dishonest and poorly handled. From the initial safety issue to the inconsistent and misleading communication, it showed a serious lack of professionalism and accountability.

Overall, I felt let down, frustrated, and misled. A hotel of this standard should not only ensure guest safety but also handle complaints with integrity—neither of which happened here. I would not recommend staying here based on my experience.
