Very family oriented we had a fantastic stay
Pool facilities were only ok at the time we visited but we still enjoyed the pool
The location to the park was perfect.
It was tired looking and not the cleanest resort we have stayed in.
Also the food was ok and we only ate breakfast there as it was included but could have been a lot better.
Great location to the park, hotel is very child friendly, rooms are fabulous, great air conditioning and beautiful decor.
The staff were unhelpful at times, no clear information given at check in re importance of booking breakfast and dinner slots which resulted in having to eat breakfast in the adjoining hotel one morning and getting a takeaway dinner one evening.
We did book breakfast but woke up late and the restaurant still managed to find a table for us. Breakfast and dinner was great. With three children who are very fussy they loved it.
Everything was great
Communication was awful. I went to book a table for the morning after, no need to, went to breakfast and the woman was saying we needed to.
It was like a zoo, tables were dirty and full of plates etc. No one were sirting on these tables andbthe queue for a table was ridiculous. Not enough staff.
Loved the themed rooms
Customer service - kids pool was shut.
We enjoyed the view overlooking the safari animals!
We were disappointed that the splash pool was closed during our stay!
Location and wasn’t too busy time of the year
It was really good. We enjoyed our stay with a newborn and a 3 year old
The overall experience was quite expensive, and the food and drinks at the restaurant were also pricey, which is understandable given the location inside the park. It would have been a nice touch to have some drinks available in the mini fridge - not necessarily complimentary, but as a paid option for convenience.
The lifts were also quite small, which made them feel cramped, especially during busy periods.
The hotel's design is absolutely amazing and truly one of a kind. Everywhere you look, there's attention to detail, and the highlight is being able to watch zebras while sitting at the bar or having a meal in the restaurant. It's a beautiful and unforgettable setting. The staff were also very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.
Unfortunately, there were several major downsides, especially for families with babies. The hotel has a policy of not providing mattresses for baby cots. The cot only came with a hard wooden board, making it completely unsuitable and uncomfortable for a baby to sleep on. When I asked if they could at least provide extra blankets to make it softer, I was simply told to bring my own. I explained that this isn't practical when traveling by plane, but they didn't respond to that concern.
The breakfast was also disappointing, with a rather limited selection compared to what we expected. In addition, several pool facilities were out of service during our stay, including the entire baby splash area and the jacuzzi.
Overall, the hotel's stunning design and excellent staff made a great first impression, but the lack of basic baby-friendly amenities and the unavailable pool facilities significantly affected our experience.
Close proximity to the theme park
Lots of ongoing work meaning that not everything was accessible. Mattress on the bed was very hard
Beds were comfortable, majority of the staff were friendly.
It was like staying in Fawlty Towers. Air-conditioning was broken on arrival, we were given 2 fans. If we hadn't asked the following morning for it to be fixed they wouldn't have bothered. The booking was for 4 people, on arrival there was only enough towels for 2 adults. The hairdryer in the room was faulty, it actually shot out sparks. Told reception and suggested it be removed as it's clearly a safety issue. It was still there when we checked out. I knew when I booked the splash pool was closed, unfortunately so was the spa pool and steam room. Took the kids to the pool, the water was filthy and for some reason they thought roping off access to the stairs was a good idea. They weren't out of order. You could still use the stairs to get into the pool but you had to either climb over the rope/wall or swim under the rope. The website states they have a good selection of Gluten-free products, when checking the allergens there was very little on the main menu. You had to shower on your knees, as when you tried to move the shower head up the pole, the pole would come out of it's holder. The kettle in the room, clearly hadn't been cleaned between guests and whoever stayed previously boiled something other than water in the kettle. Overall I expected better for £225 per night.
