Very calm, attractive hotel with smart furnished riverside terrace, small pool and spacious common areas. Gorgeous location at a spectacular junction in the Douro river. Our comfortable air-conditioned 2nd-floor room had a balcony with a magnificent view (certainly worth the extra price) directly on to the river. Very pleasant, wide-ranging buffet breakfast (outdoors or indoors) enjoying similar view.
Catering was conveniently available throughout the day (I think). But the food in the well-presented evening restaurant could have been better: they may have had a shortage of kitchen staff when we were there.

The view was absolutely breathtaking, and the location was perfect—convenient, peaceful, and exactly what we were looking for. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of fresh options to choose from. Everything exceeded our expectations, and our stay was truly wonderful.

Pequeno almoço poderia ser um pouco mais variado... e a piscina não é nada interessante.
Vista fabulosa, tranquilidade, silêncio, camas de molas = perfeito e sem edredão = óptimo. Pequeno-almoço muito completo. Funcionários atentos ao serviço. Ver funcionário a empilhar pratos sujos em cima da mesa frente ao cliente (mesa ao lado) não me pareceu próprio dum serviço de hotel 4*.

Trata-se de um hotel com uma (rara) localização de Excelência no Douro, em que todos os quartos têm uma vista fabulosa para o rio Douro que fica apenas a alguns (poucos) metros, transmitindo uma inspirada paisagem de tranquilidade.
A atitude, a disponibilidade e os gestos, sempre com um simples e fácil sorriso dos(as) colaboradores(as) do hotel em qualquer pedido que lhes seja solicitado, acrescentam, de forma determinante, a vontade de regressar onde tão bem nos tratam.
Acresce ainda um preço vs qualidade muito razoável e adequado, sem os "exageros" que se praticam em outros hotéis desta região e que não são depois refletidos na estadia e nos serviços prestados.
Releva-se ainda a evolução muito positiva do restaurante do hotel também a "preços razoáveis" vs qualidade da ementa apresentada, assim como o atendimento, com uma deslumbrante paisagem a "perde de vista" sobre o Douro.
Será sempre uma experiência a repetir em vários momentos do ano.

Amazing location, great staff, very large rooms, ok breakfast
There is no elevator to the third floor, you go up to the second and from there take the stairs. The hotel is very old and needs renovation and updating. There are no sockets next to the bed, there is only one socket in the room or you have to unplug a night light. The dinner is of a low standard.
hôtel super bien équipé, la vue est exceptionnelle sur le DOURO, le personnel est très professionnel , la qualité de la nourriture est fantastique, BRAVO au chef, le monsieur qui s'occupe du petit déjeuner a les yeux partout, il anticipe toute les demandes BRAVO,une piscine le long du DOURO, super coucher de soleil, la gérante est au petit soin pour vous et se préoccupe de vous a chaque instant.je suis impatient d'y retourner.
