Lack of AC
Not the hotel’s fault , most hotels in the area don’t have AC due to historic nature of the town, they provided fans
Unfortunately climate change is bringing hotter days at earlier times of the year

Beautiful quaint, great location. A must if you’re visiting Rothenberg.
Pros:

The property is so quaint and stylish.
The staff was wonderful. They were very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent and reasonably priced location could not have been better.

Cons:

The only issue during our stay was Germany was experiencing a heat wave and due to the age of the building they do not have air-conditioning so it was a little challenging to sleep at night in the heat

Pros:

Die Lage ist einmalig und man ist quasi mittendrin und trotzdem ruhig. Sehr aufmerksames freundliches Personal. Wir stellten abends um 23 Uhr fest, dass der TV nicht ging und es wurde alles versucht (mit zwei neuen Kabeln usw.), dass der Fernseher zum laufen gebracht wird und wurden dann in ein anderes Zimmer gebucht. Für uns rein optisch ein Upgrade.
Wir hatten kein Frühstück, daher können wir dazu leider nichts sagen.

Cons:

Der Preis für ein Zimmer ist leider sehr hoch.

Weekend in the heart of Rothenburg
Pros:

We stayed in an apartment a couple of blocks from the hotel. The apartment was equipped with everything that we needed, it was spacious and very comfortable.

Nothing, it was all good.

Fabulous stay in Rothenburg
Pros:

Beautiful old hotel In a fabulous location. We parked a car for 11 euros over night. The staff parked our car in a secure garage for us. We had breakfast which was great value and very generous. Room spacious and the location is perfect

Cons:

Nothing really, however there are stairs and no lift.

We had a delightful stay at Romantik Hotel Markusturm with my wife, our two children The hotel is charming and beautifully located in the heart of Rothenburg, perfect for exploring the old town on foot. Our room was in the annex building rather than the main house — exactly as described in the listing, so there were no surprises — and it was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. A truly lovely place to stay, and we would happily return. Highly recommended!

Het hotel is centraal gelegen op een mooie locatie. Het hotel beschikt over een prima restaurant en ook het ontbijt was heel goed.

Cons:

Ik had 2 vergelijkbare kamers geboekt. Er bleek er maar 1 beschikbaar tenzij we 40 euro per nacht bijbetaalden.

Pros:

Hotel bem localizado, casa antiga com vários quartos, no centro da cidade. Fácil de encontrar. Conseguimos ir a pé a todos os pontos mais importantes. O hotel tem estacionamento privativo a 12 euros a diária.

Cons:

Infelizmente, sofremos com barulho da vizinhança. Às 5h da manhã, havia funcionário do mercado ao lado do hotel arrastando caixas pelo chão de paralelepípedo. Além disso, também no meio da madrugada, havia muita conversa na rua. Falta um aviso de silêncio do lado de fora. Além disso, um dos funcionários do hotel, um senhor de mais idade, parecia prestar serviço diferenciado para turistas alemães. No café da manhã, ele proibiu a mim e a um outro casal de sentar numa mesa supostamente reservada. Chegou um casal, ele sentou esse casal nessa mesa, e logo depois, o casal pediu para ir para a mesa ao lado - uma piada. Esse senhor atendia de forma diferenciada esse casal no café da manhã - na mesa deles, sempre chegavam prwtos diferentes. Ainda teve o seguinte: ele insistia em falar alemão com turistas que ele sabia não entender a língua, e, num dado momento, quando cheguei no hotel por volta de 20h, a recepção estava vazia, mas vi o senhor sentado na entrada do restaurante conversando com outro casal. Solicitei a minha chave, ele se levantou, me entregou a chave, mas tão logo em iniciei a minha subida na escada, certamente retornou à conversa com o casal falando alguma gracinha em alemão, porque assim que eu saí, eles começaram a rir.
