Disappointed in aervice
Pros:

I have been asking for water for the room for 5 days. In the evening apparently no one can provide this as they have no housekeeping. They say they will provide in the morning and then they never do. Shame as otherwise good place.

Estancia en un hotel muy bien ubicado.
Pros:

La ubicción es excelente, cerca de la zona del puerto, de bares y restaurantes y de paradas de taxis y autobuses. La piscina de arriba y su cafetería están muy bien para momentos de relax. El desayuno buffet es de calidad.

Cons:

La habitación estaba ubicada en una zona donde la ventana interior daba a un patio interior y un pasillo que quedaban a la altura de la ventana, restando algo de intimidad.

Pros:

Emplacement dans le centre-ville, proche des arrêts de bus, d’un grand supermarché et de la marina.
Piscine agréable avec transats.
Bonne literie.
Petit déjeuner correct.

Cons:

Le ménage pourrait être amélioré.
Petit bémol pour le restaurant sur la terrasse qui ne sert plus à manger à partir de 21h.

Good quality for the price! Bed was comfortable. Most staff members were quite friendly and helpful (particularly front desk staff). Excellent and convenient location - easy walking to multiple restaurants and shops, and reasonable Bolt rides to trailheads. We liked the rooftop area and our own balcony as well. Staff provided us with breakfast boxes since we left before the buffet opened all but one of the days.

Cons:

Would have preferred the breakfast to open earlier. We only got to enjoy it once out of the entire week, as we left before 7:30 for hiking. The woman at the breakfast buffet asking for my room number was quite rude - approaching me as though I did not belong. The items in the breakfast box were a bit disappointing. Our room/bathroom were tight (small).

Great hotel located in old town Funchal
Pros:

Right the heart of old town, you have access to everything in less than 10 mn by foot - the ocean, the harbor, the cable cars. Very calm, clean room. Friendly team.

One raise the bar: would have been great to be advised that the mini fridge only works when the hotel key is left in. SO please ask them when you check in to make sure you can use the mini fridge.

Breakfast was ok. AC worked well. Would stay there again for sure! The price was decent - Book direct.
