Perfect location for a short break in Funchal.
Pros:

The Hotel Madeira is a perfect base for touring around Madeira, just a few hundred metres from the marina area and the promenade to the old town. All bus services have stops here and plenty of taxi stands too and an abundance of restaurants in all directions from the hotel. Our room was nice, comfortable with double doors to a small Juliet balcony and good air conditioning. The breakfast room was bright and airy with a good choice of hot and cold offerings for breakfast. The staff were very efficient in cleaning off tables and replenishing any items that had run out. A word also to the receptionist who we seemed to meet all the time. Cesar was an excellent first impression on entering the hotel - friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. On our last night we had to vacate the hotel and 3.30 am to head to the airport. We were supplied with a breakfast box of juice, sandwiches, two tarts and a banana. It was very thoughtful and a lifesaver. Kudos.

Cons:

Unfortunately, our room, at the back of the hotel faced a derelict site in a small street. If these neighbours could be asked to take the crap and detritus off the roof of their building it would not spoil the vista of the hills visible from the balcony.

Lokalizacja przy parku. Blisko centrum. Smaczne śniadania choć monotonne codziennie to samo. W hotelu można zarezerwować parking dla samochodu - opłata 11 euro za dobę. Codzienne sprzątanie pokoju, wymiana ręczników. Wygodne łóżko. Uprzejmi pracownicy.

Monotonne śniadania. Bardzo mały pokój. Stare meble - mała szafa. Zapach staroci w pokoju.
