Hotel is no way near a 5 star in any sense and I have no idea how it has this rating. I don't often write reviews but felt the need to warn people.
The room was in really poor condition with cracked sink, patched up wallpaper, ripped sheets, and even coming back after the room was cleaned to find a strange bit of food on the floor (see photos).
All the photos on the website including the pool area are very misleading having been there in person. Added to this is the additional 'facilities' fee for internet access and fitness centre, which I'd expect to be included in a 5 star hotel. The room didn't even have a kettle, only a coffee pod machine, and the TV reception meant it was sometimes unwatchable.
I booked this hotel for a special trip to New York for a very special occasion but were so dissapointed and quite angry.

Comfortable room, very nice rooftop pool.
The location of the hotel was very good for our stay. The staff was very polite, professional, and responsive. The room was quiet. The elevators are notably fast. Water pressure was good. Many of the lights have dimmer switches, which is helpful. There was a room safe. Housekeeping did a good job.
The sink could have been higher. The bed was a bit firm for our taste. The couch could use some back cushions.

La ubicación del hotel está genial, puedes ir caminando a mid town o a times square, ya que es un paseo agradable de unos 30mins. También tienes una estación de metro a dos cuadras y los buses te dejan muy cerca del hotel, en la calle de atrás. La habitación y el baño eran super grandes, lo cual se aprecia cuando vas con un bebé de casi dos años. Nos pusieron una cuna y la cama era grande y muy cómoda. Nos limpiaban la habitación todos los días. El check-in y el check-out fueron súper rápidos. No hubo cargos ocultos ni sorpresas como decían en otros comentarios.
Si te mueves por la park avenue o hacia el este está muy bien, pero si quieres llegar al hotel por el oeste, te puedes encontrar con drogadictos. Creo que esto no es algo malo del hotel como tal, sino una situación de la ciudad, ya que lo ves en muchas partes.
The WORST. The room was gross. Frayed pillows, brown bathtub water, broken toilet. Staff was not helpful - left something in the room after checkout and couldn’t get ahold of a live person for the last three days! Still waiting to try and get a live person who isn’t at a call center. The photos are misleading. I would never stay here again.
