Don’t stay here. Disappointing. Didn’t sleep.
Pros:

Walking distance (17 mins) to downtown Nevada City. Staff were friendly at check in. Nice waterfall in the middle of the property. Nice to have a fridge and microwave in room.

Cons:

Stayed in room #501 last night and it was very disappointing to say the least. The toilet made a screeching noise all night, the blinds were broken and a bright light shined in our faces all night, the chair is sunk in and broken, the lights flicker and turn on randomly on the ceiling and lamp on nightstand (even when switched off) like a horror movie, there is no screen on the bathroom window, and 2 baby bath towels is not sufficient sorry. The TV also was pixely and kept turning colors while we tried to ignore the flickering light and watch a movie. I didn't sleep all night cause of the noise from the AC and toilet. I'm not sure how you charge $180 for this place. This hotel and property has so much potential but the rooms are prob the worst I've seen and I travel A LOT. We also asked for an extra pillow and they only had 1 at the front desk. Tarps on the roof from leaking and patches. No water in their pool. Trash items behind bed and dirt.
I hope you can fix these things in the future for other guests. Even a small amount of pride of ownership would be nice to see (paint, signs, trash in parking area).

My stay was comfortable and very easy. Had no issues and would definitely recommend the hotel to other.
Pros:

Sarah, the front desk host was amazing. She had the most welcoming spirit and was very helpful. Customer service was wonderful.

Musky dog smell and mysterious stains
Pros:

The staff was friendly.

Cons:

The photos on the booking site were not correct. My room (406) smelled like dog and was very run down. There were stains on everything and we found left over dog food on the carpet from the previous guest.

Be aware that it needs some work!
Pros:

I liked it's cut premises near a waterfall, close to town, old depot, cottages, little breakfast included.

Cons:

Expensive for what you get, not very clean, needs refurbishing, said they would bring another towel because we were one short and never brought it.

Pros:

Spacious room and very comfortable beds. The staff was wonderful and always helpful.

This is an older place currently being renovated. Restaurant closed. Lots of rooms, attentive staff.
Pros:

Good manager called me in the room to make sure all was OK after an initial problem with my first room. Location is very conveniently close to highway entrance/exit. Staff appear to be renovating an older property and doing a good job. Not a flashy place, but I'd stay there again.

Cons:

When I walked to my upstairs room, the door was wide open and somebody had been smoking in there (it's a non-smoking room.) Very unsettling experience late at night. I returned to front desk and they soon found me another identical room, but without those problems.
