The lobby having a very bad and strong smell
Disappointing Stay – Lacked Basic Essentials
We recently stayed at this hotel and were quite disappointed with the lack of basic amenities. There were no face towels or bath towels provided, and even the toilet rolls appeared to have been used or partially empty. There were no bathrobes available, and concerningly, the door was missing a security chain lock, which made us feel unsafe. For the price we paid, we expected at least the minimum standard of comfort and hygiene. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made.
Staffs were very friendly and helpful
They could have change the menu of breakfast buffet, it was same menu everyday.. was disappointing
easy access to all the popular places in Colombo, and the breakfast buffet was nice and beyond our expectations.

Is it good but lot of things are bad condition
Some staff were very nice trying to compensate for no fridge. The restaraunt mama Acer was happy to oblige by having an omelette (Sri Lankan style) made.
No bar fridge in room-told it was an option only if requested! I Informed them it was standard practice in all BW properties a few countries
The door lock could not be locked resulting in an hour delay to us with a cab waiting.
Additionally the tea & coffee making were peculiar ! Only TWO tea bags, NO coffee , once again NEVER in 50 years or more of travelling including back packing have I encountered this.
Finally no sanitary pad disposable bags. Hygiene ?
Getting bags up the steps is very difficult and a small ramp for the two or three steps will enable wheeling suitcases up.
The most suitable destination for business travel, offering both cleanliness and affordability.

I recently stayed at best western union and had a very pleasant experience.the staff was welcoming and helpful from check-in to check-out. The room was clean,comfortable ,and had all the basic amenities l needed.
