Disappointed
Pros:

I enjoyed the location with the ease of accessing the island.

Cons:

When we arrived for my 50th birthday weekend it was so hot. When we made it to our room the air conditioner was not cooling the room. After call the front desk 5 times and no answer, we walked to the front desk. They were busy so we understood not answering our call even though it was a little inconvenient. They sent a maintenance man to our room. He was very kind and apologized and informed us that's how the whole hotel was due to we're the air came out and the air intake was in a poor location sucking the cool air back into the intake not allowing to keep the room cool. We had chosen a room where we could enjoy a view. He told us we needed to keep the windows closed up and told us it would cool down around 4am. He asked for house keeping to bring us a fan. 2 hours later still no fan. Again after several calls my husband had to again go back down to finally recieve a fan. We would of never of made it without it. Shower seat was slimy. Had to clean shower before use, baseboards covered in dust, 1 ply toilet paper, beds very hard. Went to enjoy the pool and hot tub. Ripped my toe open getting out of the hot tub becauseof a sharp edge on the step. Bled all over the pool area which was very embarrassing and painful. Decided it was time for a margarita. My husband and I each got a frozen Margarita in a souvenir cup. I get we are in a tourist area but $52 for 2 drinks is awful. Needless to say we only had 1. We ate in the Fins restaurant located in the hotel the 1st night after a rough start and drive and we were wiping our faces with water because there was no air on in there and 94 degrees outside. We asked our waitress about the air situation and she said they hardly run b it because they are cheap and don't run it much as she is ringing in sweat. This is suppose to be a high end hotel with apparently great income by their rates on rooms and everything else and can only provide 1 ply toilet paper and poor air conditioning.

A nice little gem
Pros:

We have stayed in Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg several times, but this was our first time at a Margaritaville resort. I can’t say enough good things. The facility is so clean and smells amazing. Beds & pillows- 10/10. Pool- 10/10. Fins Bar- 10/10. We did the valet parking and they are the nicest people and were quick when retrieving our truck. Every person we interacted with was friendly and polite. Prime location and worth the money. We will definitely be back when we can stay longer.
