Pros:

The staff was very friendly and the property was clean and well maintained. The location is very close to Korle Bu teaching hospital if you are working or teaching at the hospital. While there are more opulent chain type hotels downtown, this hotel is perfect for those seeking a more authentic travel experience in Ghana.

Great hotel, great staff
Pros:

Forte Royale is a great hotel reasonably priced in Accra. We stayed for one night for visiting Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, and the hospital is 5-minute taxi ride (about 5 cedis) away. There are grocery stores, food and places to get drinking water nearby. The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. Samuel particularly walked with us to get dinner and drinking water. The hotel also helped us get taxis and negotiate.
The rooms are basic but clean and also air-conditioned. There is a mini fridge too. The shower water pressure was a bit low, but there was constant running water throughout our stay. Overall we had a very pleasant stay.

Pros:

It was ok. The beds were small with no blanket to cover when the room became cold. Food was slightly salty probably because of no standard kitchen staff.There was hot water throughot our stay. Equally there was light despite interuption of the public electricity. However, the hotel had no standby pick up cab for guests to the airport.
