Location good. Staff helpful. Breakfast excellent.
Smells like a damp old building 🙁 decor dated.
The location is ideal for walks and visiting local attractions in the area. The staff at the Crown hotel were friendly and helpfull. The bed was comfortable and shower easy to control with good flow. Cleanlinesss of the room was pretty good. I had the Full English breakfast during my stay which was very good and set me up until my evening meal.
Beer was expensive (but still cheaper than London).
A lovely little hotel in a gorgeous place
Breakfast amazing, we had booked as we enjoyed their steak night, was just sad to find after we’d booked that there was no food after 4:30 on Sundays due to there bingo/quizz night.
Shame they don’t serve on Sundays due to bingo/quizz night especially on bank holidays and in high season, but would not stop us going again as it’s great accomodation & wonderful staff.
Maybe an idea on Booking.com to make people aware that they don’t serve food after 4:30pm on Sundays. My advice is book direct because the landlady would advise. Lovely people who run this hotel.
Very friendly staff.
Comfortable, clean and pleasant.
That I had to leave too soon :)
Friendly staff
Kitchen extractor fan outside our room. Noisy and very smelly.
Most expensive room of our 4 night trip in Yorkshire
Great comfy rooms, great food and excellent bar staff
Nothing really
Lovely pub, excellent Breakfast, really friendly, great little town.
Not much to complain about at all .... Couldn't park on site but did on the streets nearby.
The rooms were a bit small and the floorboards a bit creaky but I guess that's typical of the type of building this is.
Great for a couple of nights with one occupant in the room.
Very central to the village with all the amenities one needs. Excellent rooms that were very clean and comfortable.
The bar closed a little early due to roadworks that were currently taking place, but that is a one-off.
Friendly, helpful staff, good food, nice room
Nothing
Simple friendly atmospheric inn. Food was excellent home cooked fare with very generous portions.i would defy anyone to eat 3 courses!
The staff were very welcoming and accommodating.
Breakfast had good options and presented nicely.
A rather old fashioned place, which was spot on for a small Nidderdale town.
Nice room
Good breakfast
Friendly staff
No parking
Breakfast & evening meal were very good. All the staff were excellent. Rooms were adequate . We were cycling & there was safe storage for our bikes which was a bonus.
Superb pub and friendly staff. We had a spacious family room for the 2 of us, and breakfast was delicious and plentiful

Small and comfy pub!
The bed had a low plinth which I kept walking into!
