Our usual Sarnia stayover
Pros:

We have stayed here often over the years. The beds are comfy and there are many choices available at the breakfast bar. The location along the harbour is great!

Cons:

The building is old and even though it was beautifully redecorated a number of years ago, there are places where the age of the building shows through. Like old stains coming through the newer paint.

We also enjoyed the breakfast selection.

Mattress was comfortable.. Tub large..water pressure great .. rear door access for bringing luggage in and out.Quiet ard with restaurant and Pub next door. Play ground, BBQ available. Little parkette in the back next to fenced Harbour. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good, scrambled eggs, homefries, sausage, yogurt, fruit ...and the usual carbs. Tea or coffee available 24/7.

Cons:

Ceiling stucco split all over exposing wood. Informed the desk.... Needs overhaul. People in room on either side of ours, sitting in front of their rooms smoking... says no smoking in room... curtains and sheets have stale smoke smell. Lucky brought my own pillow.... Had to wash everything when I got home whether I wore it or not.

It was easy, reasonable, and good enough for what we needed.
Pros:

The breakfast was very convenient and I liked that there was a park right across the street. The price was great and the location was very close to everything we needed. The staff were very kind and helpful.

Cons:

The room and hallways smelled like instant noodles. The halls were also really dark. Our keycards also stopped working multiple times, along with the cards of the other guests we were travelling with.

Sehr freundliches Personal, großzügige Zimmer, super Pflegeprodukte in der Dusche.

Run down property
Pros:

It was in walking distance to the marina.

Cons:

The property is run down and staff has stopped caring. We told the front staff that the ceiling pieces fell during the night. They didn’t seem surprised and simply said ok, we will add it to the list. 😳 Front staff at check in and check out was brisk, unfriendly and rude.

I would stay again and if too noisy I'd be smart enough to call the front desk and complain.
Pros:

Perfect until a group of children who should have been in bed around midnight were playing outside our room. Yelling and screaming for what seemed like forever. Parents were out socializing and allowed the children to be out as well! Can't believe no staff shut the noise down. With the way the world is now I certainly wouldn't dare go out and say anything so we tolerated it.

Cons:

The location and convenience. We had stayed at this facility another time while down to visit a dear friend dealing with cancer.

Never staying at a Days Inn again.
Pros:

Location as it was close to our event.

Cons:

The rooms were sub par. Cracked window, missing curtains and the light shines in around the entire door to the outside. Mattress was old and sunken. TV was tiny. $50 charge on credit card that is apparently for incidentals and gets reimbursed however not for 5 to 7 business days so you pay interest on that. No other hotel I have stayed at does that. My husband travels all over Canada for work as a Tradesman and we will never stay at a Days Inn or another property under Wyndham that does that, ever again. Holiday Inn will be the place and we will advise our friends, coworkers and families about how Days Inn operates. Should not be taking the actual money off a credit card unless necessary. Guests should not incur other fees ie. Interest on charges that should not be taken.
