Tofinis Hotel

We stayed at Tofinis Hotel from October 8–12, 2025, with three young children and my elderly parents. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely distressing due to the unprofessional and aggressive behavior of one of the reception staff.

On departure day, the staff member shouted and threatened my husband in front of our children causing significant distress. The hotel management failed to address the situation adequately, leaving us feeling unsafe and upset.

Families with children or elderly relatives: please think carefully before booking.

Accommodation: We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which was basic but very clean, maids lovely and room serviced daily. Basic facilities like fridge and utensils etc everything you’d expect. Balcony was small and barely room for 2 people to sit. The apartments are behind the water park so view not brilliant and the access path from main hotel wasn’t great, felt out the way and not lit well.

Hotel and facilities: pools great, tho a little cold but to be expected. Aqua gym at 11am fantastic though this was the only real highlight from animation team. Kids disco short and basic but did the job - though not on every night. Water park fab and something for everyone ( our daughter was 6 and only 2 slides she couldn’t go on). Warning on the double ring slide, I got a black eye as we hit the water and the ring wasn’t inflated enough so I flew forward and hit her head. A struggle for sunbeds and some began to be removed as end of season. It did feel a little like some of the staff were done with the season and some were rude.

Food: great selection, can’t fault it for an all inclusive. Themed nights so plan around them if going out for food on any night, Italian and international nights were great. Seperate kids bit that always had chips, nuggets, fish fingers and pizza. Drinks were awful, juice was all concentrated sugary stuff and beer wasn’t the best. Be warned you have to pay €2 for slushies, crisps, nuts, candy floss etc
Very busy and noisy. They closed one restaurant half way through so all meals in main restaurant. Breakfast fresh omelettes and the usual selection, coffee machines not too bad! Pool bar iced coffees were amazing and shout out to Lisa the barmaid!

Overall, it’s a nice hotel, really clean and fresh but it felt like we were an inconvenience at points as staff were ready for the season to be over. Evening entertainment could have been better though I imagine in peak season it would have been very cramped.

Extremely well travelled family and very rarely leave negative reviews.
However. This hotel seems to be one thing after another!!🙄

Maid is so rude and poor at cleaning ( we usually leave tips), pools closed on multiple occasions within the water park and reception staff are literally there for the income and not actually the care of the customers, as a Cyprian myself this is very heartbreaking…

Pambos and the entire staff at the Tofinis Hotel made every effort to make our stay there wonderful, and they succeeded!!!!
From the moment of our arrival to the hotel to the moment of our departure we felt that we had received warmest of welcomes and sincere sadness upon our departure. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone travelling to Cyprus.

To be honest I’ve read the the reviews and on personal experience I’ve got to say the pool great, splash park only half open, food average at best drinks are cheap proper cheap cola
And customer service is nonexistent unfortunately I’m here another week my advice can do better I’ve been coming to Cyprus 30 years

Went with my wife and two kids. A 6 years old and a 2 years old.
We arrived quite late and the receptionist was very kind and welcomed us

Great service and super nice staff.

Great splach pool area a little worn.
Missing some one and two person rings for the slide…

Lunch was ok. Great som days.
Finner was always Good with new team every night.

Very nice hotel for families but also nice for couples. We had a nice room near to reception. Clean everyday, with fridge and kettle. Food was very good, everyone can find something to eat. Location was awesome very close to bus stops so you can easily plan your trip around island. Beach nearby not that crowded as Nissi Beach. We will come back for next holiday, Cyprus is great place for holiday :)

We are currently staying here! The hotel is great. The staff are lovely. The restaurant staff are very kind and helpful and the kids club staff Natalie and Himani are great and so kind and welcoming! They are so kind to our little boy and play with him

Just return home from a week here.
After reading some of the poor reviews I was a bit worried about what we booked but I always find this on hotel reviews.

Location
A little bit further out then we normally go to but just hopped on a bus €2 to go anywhere in Ayia Napa. Or a 15 min walk into the main bit.

Hotel
Was brilliant for the kids. Water park/pool was everything they could want. Yes there could be a little improvement a few things need a bit of tlc but the kids don’t care.

Rooms
Pros and cons to these.
We booked a family room with sliding partition. Excellent size there was 5 of us. So a double bed bunk beds and a cot. . The aircon was crap didnt cool the room down. Hairdryer in the room cut out after about 30 seconds. Kettle had a crack down it so boiling water poured out everywhere . Rooms were cleaned daily but bedding was only changed once. Nit great when your hot sweaty.

Food and drink ,
Food was brilliant. Excellent choices, people who don’t find anything to eat must be seriously picky.
Drink was terrible. Cheap and nasty. Alcohol had no alcohol in it . Which was a let down really.

Staff
The lady in the water park bar was a bit rude and miserable. But All the rest helpful especially the guys In the restaurant, So polite and quick to clear up.

Entertainment,
We stayed in for two nights one of them didn’t have anything on at all.
And the other was a kids disco and karaoke. And it was all done by half nine at the latest so that was poor too. But then I’m not really one for staying In.

All in all we had a fab week we enjoyed it.
Would definitely return again.

Nice hotel and pool, breakfast not the best but rest off meal times are really nice. Water park his brilliant. Just be careful around the pool for some strange reason they don't have lifeguards in till 10 an I literally watched a boy drowned an had to have CPR of a nurse that was there.it took lifeguards 10 mins to appear after he was brought back. Wich is pretty scary. The management are really rude to you. But the cleaners and food staff can't help you enough. An if your going with TUI avoid the big Swedish rep he's awful and rude.shouts at people like he's incharge. An 1 last thing avoid ground floor nothing but noise all night from generators

I can not praise this hotel enough.

On our First day, a boy we was with had a heart attack due to underlying medical issues this caused him to fall into the pool, A woman pulled him out and started cpr, lifeguard took over and then a woman who was a nurse asked if she could carry on. the boy is now fine thanks to the quick responses of all the people around, hotel management then continued to take food and gifts to the boy and his mum in hospital.

We was at the hotel for a wedding. As the maid of honour I made multiple requests from the hotel & each request was granted & they went above & beyond.

I would 100% come back. the management team will do what they can to help u.

Worst experience ever had at a hotel the harassment from staff called Philip for receipts to sit at pool is a joke some people needing to show them twice and the managers seem to think he’s doing his job would never recommend this hotel to anyone, a kid drowned the same day and lifeguards never jumped into help a English women had to save him by doing cpr as life guards ran away to find someone that knew what were doing would avoid this hotel.

Tofinis was a very pleasant place to stay, great point for further expeditions and wonderful hotel to rest between trips.
The strong points of the hotel was very tasty food (each day something else during the evenings), wonderful service and the presence of aqua park (both kids and us had a lot of fun!)

We have just left here after spending a week here. We were a little apprehensive at first due to other reviews however we need not have been

Hotel room
Hotel room was clean and ample for 2 adults and 2 children. We overlooked the waterpark. Maids came in daily to clean and freshen up the room left towels and changed sheets as and when needed

Food
I am unsure as to previous reviews moaning about the choice. Im not sure what more people would like. Every night and lunch you had staples such as various salads, breads, soups and your nuggets and chips. There were themed nights such as cypris night, bbq, Italian and fish night (least fave but I dont like fish) there was always lots of choice from meats/pastas and things being cooked on the grill. Lots of choice of deserts too. This was the same at lunch and dinner. Breakfast was salds/toast/bread/meats/cheese and variations of sausages eggs, omelette, bacon, waffles, beans etc. All the food was lovely and fresh. No complaints here.

Staff
Cannot fault the staff. Especially in the restaurant. Always friendly, attentive and helpful. The lady on the waterpark bar though needs to tell her face to smile. She didnt crack one nor say a word and actually made you feel uncomfortable when asking for a drink. If you want a cold coffee with milk make sure you ask for a frappe with milk and sugar if required.

Waterpark and pool
Great time here. No issues. Few tiles missing however I know its towards end of the season and I would like to think this would all be rectified when closed. Always beds around the waterpark, but never any around the pool. They were gone by 9.03. No issues for us though as we preferred the waterpark. I wouldn't however like to go in the height of summer and not get a sunbed

Entertainment
Again, we didn't have an issue with it. Cyprus nighr was good as was parrot show and magic show. Kids disco prior. Yes entertainment did finish for around 10 ish but again didnt bother us. We just went to chill in the bar area

Drinks
Drinks were hit and miss. The soft drinks were very sweet and alcohol drinks were either too strong or sweet. Again didnt bother us we just informed staff around the alcohol and they were happy to change it..I found the lemonade the less sweetest of them all

Area
The area was lovely. We went to Vyrissi Beach in Protaras which was beautiful. Also did waterworld and the Black Pearl boat trip all of which were brilliant. All these and other places of interests/beaches are easily accessible on the bus which runs every 10 mins and stops right at the side of the hotel. 2e for adults and 1e for children. Can't fault it.

We also went to a brilliant Cypriot nights at Opas Tavern. Fantastic night, great atmosphere and great food too.

Overall we had a great holiday. We wouldn't come in the summer holidays as we feel it would be far too busy and we would be unable to enjoy it as much as we have..beginning of September is ideal for here and also for waterworld which was extremely quiet. The hotel is a mixture of families such as Russian/Polish/Romanian. We did find some of these quite rude and didnt seem to have any manners, possibly a culture issue though.

We will definitely be returning at some point. The staff are a credit to the hotel and they all work their bums off to ensure people have a good time.

As the saying goes though as always, you cant please everyone.

Arrived yesterday, cost a small fortune already, water is not included, alcohol free beer is not included, even slushes for children not included and that’s only what we know of so far 🤣.

Shame really as hotel seems nice.

Just back from here - family with 15 & 12yr old. Our room was not huge, had a comfortable queen size bed & bunkbeds all in one room, ideally we would have like a curtain of divider to separate but it was fine for 7nts. Balcony was small, only useful for drying towels. If I could have upgraded to a large family room then I would have but booked last minute. Wardrobe was adequate but nowhere to store suitcase. Bathroom was not the best, every morning it a 'smell' to it & was quite small but the shower worked well.
We went All-inclusive with the view that we'd eat out a few times. However we found the food to be very good choice & quality. Every night there was a theme & then the normal kids options were always available. The staff worked extremely hard & it was always clean & tidy in the restaurant. We all loved the food & my fussy kids always found plenty on an evening to eat. Breakfast was also excellent & lunch times in the pool side restaurant were also a pleasure with a fabulous choice. These people complaining about the food must just be eating chips & nuggets as honestly the choice was amazing.
Pool was a good size, never had issues getting 4 sunbeds at main pool as long as I went down before 8am to read my book. Unattended toweks & belongings were removed by pool stuff prior to 9am & put it the lost property- hilarious to watch especially when families all decided to go off to Breakfast for over an hour together.
My boys enjoyed the Waterpark, it opened at 10am & is just near the main pool. Beds were easy to get in there if you went by 10am. Some parents need to take responsibility for their little ones as loads climbing up slides in toddler area but the main flumes were well supervised.
Pool bars were friendly & efficient, I loved the cocktails & hubby said beer was good. Kids never complained over the juice or fizzy drinks. Also could spirits in the lobby bar & take into the restaurant for dinner. We would go after 8pm to dinner as it was quieter.
Snack bar (in pool side lunch restaurant) stayed open 3-5pm. No food can be taken out of the restaurant around the pool which is a good things as means it's all tidy without half eaten plates hanging around.
Entertainment we didn't bother with as went out the hotel evey night into ayia napa, 10 mins on the 102 bus into the square & get 101 bus back. We opted for 5 day bus pass purchased from the driver on 1st trip (cash only) & made the most of seeing around the local area.
Ayia napa itself is very family friendly & my teens thought it was wonderful to be out on an evening. We also went to the fair & visited Protaras & Nissi Beach. Local beach is down the steps near the hotel shop - and 5 min walk & has lovely clear water. A must see near hotel is The Bridge of Love, go at sunset, it gets busy but is a must see.
All in all a wonderful holiday & it is what you make it, I noted many people didn't go out much & preferred to laze around listening to their kids moaning all day, if you stay in the hotel of course it's going to get repetitive. We would not hesitate in coming back to this hotel (as long as we could secure a larger family room)!
No staff were rude, all were friendly & very good at their jobs. The only thing that let it down was the odd family thinking they owned the place with out of control kids but you get that anywhere.

Amazing hotel, food was incredible, staff were attentive and everything was always clean and the animation team were fantastic the kids activities and evening entertainment were amazing.
The only cons we found were snacks (crisps, ice creams, slushies from the bar were all extra cost and not expected when you have paid all inclusive)
No where really to sit and relax except reception if you wanted to get out of the sun.

I really liked the staff and the food I also really enjoyed the pools and all the slides. Overall it was a very good experience
