We had an issue with an ant infestation in the room. We noticed them when we arrive at night. The ants would crawl all over us during the night.
The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, and the room was clean and well presented. The bathroom was a good size and had plenty of natural light, which we really appreciated. It was lovely waking up to views overlooking the lake, and the grounds were beautifully maintained and tidy. The setting was very peaceful and picturesque, which made the accommodation feel lovely overall.
Unfortunately, our biggest disappointment was the noise late into the night. There appeared to be some sort of celebration or party taking place on the lawn directly outside our room, with loud, thumping music and guests talking loudly until nearly 3am.
Having just celebrated our wedding that day, all we wanted was to return to our accommodation and enjoy a peaceful night's sleep, but unfortunately, this wasn't possible due to the noise.
It would have been appreciated if guests had been notified in advance that an event was taking place, or if rooms could have been allocated away from the event area. Alternatively, having events in a designated space away from guest accommodation would help prevent other guests from being disturbed.
We understand that venues host celebrations, but we feel that the comfort of other paying guests should also be taken into consideration, particularly when events continue into the early hours of the morning.

Noisy fridge
Lovely staff at reception, very clean and well set up room with nice outlook onto the lake. We ate at the restaurant which was ok but not great.
Not much…..maybe a sign to show which way to exit……we thought the way through reception was one way!
Room was very clean, bed was amazing...plenty of tea/coffee/sugar.and bathroom toiletries...staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Staff was so welcoming friendly and acknowledged me as soon as i walked in even though she was serving 2x other guests. That is awsome especially since we just drove 7 hours to get there.
