Pros:

Sehr geräumiges Zimmer mit grossem Bad und bequemen Betten. Meiner Meinung nach die beste Poolanlage in der Umgebung, auch der Gym Bereich war sehr gut ausgestattet und sauber. Zentrale Lage und ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Cons:

Das Frühstück entspricht eher dem Standard eines 3-Sterne-Hotels und weniger dem eines 5-Sterne Hotels. Das Zimmer war grundsätzlich sauber, allerdings hätte der Boden gründlicher gereinigt werden können und die Vorhänge waren verschmutzt. Insgesamt waren wir dennoch zufrieden, da vergleichbare 4- bis 5-Sterne-Hotels mit ähnlicher Ausstattung und Lage deutlich teurer waren.

Clean and comfortable
Pros:

Stayed here during a stem cell operation. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. Would stay again. Rooms were clean and roomy. Restaurants were great especially the one with breakfast included. Evenings it offers a variety of options. Louis was so helpful and friendly even though I wasn’t myself after surgery. He went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable.

Relaxing massage!
Pros:

I had a Swedish massage with Diana. She was very warm and welcoming and took her time to work on some tension I had in my upper back. I felt very relaxed at the end of the massage!

Birthday Fun
Pros:

My 3rd trip to Panama and stay at Sortis Hotel, Spa and Resort. Hotel is centrally located, doesn't take much time to get anywhere. Hotel offers plenty of restaurants and things to do. I always look for Ivan. He makes sure that no stone is unturned. He created a small birthday celebration for me during cocktail hour. It was so sweet.

Disappointing Stay: Poor Service and Unmet Standards at Sortis, Panama City
Pros:

I had a disappointing experience at The Sortis, Autograph Collection, Panama City. On arrival, they used stapled cardboard as a key holder, which cut my finger. The room’s toilet leaked from the base—unpleasant from the start.

At the restaurant, my medium-done steak arrived cold. The waitress suggested, “I can warm it up”—as if microwaving a steak was a solution! I refused. They brought another steak, but it was overdone. The next day, they fixed the toilet and offered a plate of fruit. Yet despite entering my room, they didn’t clean it, make the bed, or replace the water. I couldn’t even make a cup of tea afterward.

Despite the staff’s offers to assist, the service consistently failed to meet basic expectations. Honestly, even a Courtyard would feel like five stars compared to this experience.

Panama owes me nothing 🇵🇦
Pros:

Where do I start? I just want to take a moment to recognize the amazing concierge team for their outstanding service. From start to finish, we had absolutely no issues. Everything was handled smoothly and professionally. They were always quick to respond, provided the best options, and truly never disappointed.
What stood out the most was how friendly and attentive everyone was. Even when off duty, Ivan still checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, that level of care is rare and deeply appreciated.
A special thank you to Ivan, Carolina, and Kritza for delivering top-tier service. Ivan, in particular, went above and beyond. He’s truly the best!
Thank you all for making our experience so enjoyable and stress-free.

Lastly, they accommodate big groups. We had a group of 16 people and they accommodated us so well.

Amazing
Pros:

Highly recommend to go every Friday to their all you can eat seafood buffet at their restaurant La Brasserie. Amazing ambient, attention to detail and excellent service. The buffet offers a complete variety of options from seafood, meats, salads and desserts. Edgardo and Jason were extremely professional and demonstrated great hospitality service making the experience more appealing and enjoyable, always checking up on any needs or concerns their guests had. Thank you and certainly will be returning.

Central location and clean facilities.
Pros:

Staff were great. Facilities seemed clean. Spa/pool were amazing.

Cons:

The room service gave tummy illness. It was awful and flavorless. The guests there for the casino were a bit rowdy.

Best Masseuse, Betzy!
Pros:

Had the BEST massages with Betzy! Had both a Swedish and Deep Tissue massage and they were WONDERFUL. Betzy is truly a professional and I look forward to returning for her services. 🙏🏾

Pros:

This hotel is the place to stay in Panama City, Panama. From Lyann at check in who was super warm, welcoming and hospitable......to Ivan who booked us several dinner recommendations, massages and a tour to the beach. This hotel has a lot to offer and a great staff. We will definitely return on our next trip to Panama.
