The hotel is in a superb location overlooking the harbour.
The bed was huge and very comfortable.
I never leave reviews for any hotel but I have been thinking about this place ever since I left!
Quickly booked this hotel for work and was pleasantly shocked upon arrival.
The hotel is extremely modern and clean. Little features like touch screen door bells and LED lit wardrobes (which most wouldn't care for) really impressed me! I stayed on the top floor and the sound of the rain hitting the skylight at night made it even cosier.
Everytning about the hotel is modern and sleek, including a large smart TV and modern bathroom. It's also a proper shower, not one built into the bath which I liked. This hotel is far ahead of many 4 and 5 star hotels I've stayed in for work over the years.
The food in the really photogenic bar is also amazing! Never had a fish pie before and it was really good, overlooking the Killybegs port. And to top it all off the staff are extremely lovely!
Would definitely come back here on my own terms, not just for work!!!
Exceprional
If i could give more than 5 stars I would. I booked last minute for a business trip and was lucky to get a last minute cancellation the day before .
Upon reaching the hotel I realised I had forgotten my case and at 7pm no where open and a 2.5 hr round trip to nearest tesco for emergency over night supplies.Well I needed not to worry the amazing Martina and Christine where beyond helpful completely sorting me out for the night and in a day and age where great service is not a given anymore these went above and beyond even offering to contact some local shops after hours to get me sorted . I am beyond grateful especially after driving since 9 am the last thing I wanted was to drive to letterkenny and back .
As I sit and have a relaxed dinner in the beautiful bar , the food is amazing, the view is amazing , the hotel has been recently revamped and changed ownership which turns out to be from a business man from close to me in meath the decor is high end and cosy. All in all what could have been a disasterous stay has been one of the best hotel experiences Ive had and im staying in hotels with work nearly 20 years.
