Please note that from 01 April 2020, up to 1 child up to and including the age of 6 years staying in the parents' room will only be charged for the evening meal.

Up to 1 child aged between 7 and 17 years staying in the parents' room is charged EUR 60 per night for breakfast, lunch from the snack buffet with drinks (water and juices), afternoon tea with water and nonalcoholic hot drinks.

The evening meal is not included for children. This can be ordered individually in the Adler Stuben restaurant from the children's menu, and is charged à la carte.

Reisen mit Hund
Pros:

Sehr freundliches Personal, fantastisches Essen in Halbpension. Ein wunderbarer Wellnessbereich mit Außenpool. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und können es nur empfehlen.

Not really suitable for young families
Pros:

Context: we are a family of 6, 2 adults and 4 children (2-13 years old) travelling through Europe for our summer holiday. We stayed here for 3 nights in July ‘26, but were due to stay for 4 (more below).

The hotel is in a beautiful setting and is very clean and tidy. We were excited to arrive after a very long drive and had read on the website about it being a family hotel etc and seen pictures of the pool and swings etc.

The reception staff we encountered on arrival were slightly stilted and we wouldn’t class them as particularly warm and welcoming. The older (German) guests then ram that point home by their reaction to seeing children playing, be it in the pool or even talking at dinner. There were many ‘tuts’ and ‘glares’ from these older guests, not just towards us, but all families there with children) and when we went to check out a day early (because we felt so uncomfortable), the (very nice this time) lady on reception asked our reason for leaving and when I mentioned the above she said ‘yes, we are well aware and we don’t know why the older guests come during the middle of the school holidays when they can come at any time of year!’. That said it all really… perhaps save this hotel for a visit during your retirement, but don’t bother if you have young children.

Most superbe hotel in Black Forrest
Pros:

Superb Schwarzwald luxury hotel with very kind service, great kitchen, very clean spa and swimming infrastructure. Great hotel with longstanding history and nice terrasses. Very relaxing and inspiring.

Le concept de buffet le midi est un peu juste pour un 5 étoiles , trois jours de suite proposer des pâtes n est pas satisfaisant ! Dommage il devrait y avoir plus de choix

Romantische aanrader in prachtige gebied
Pros:

Super lekker eten, prachtige centrale locatie voor wandelingen in het Zwarte Woud, mooie wellness, over het algemeen goede bediening maar wel verschil van ploeg tot ploeg.

Cons:

Personeel is soms wat stroef en niet altijd even attentvol. Vooral 2de ochtend in was er een groot verschil met andere personeelsequipes. Inrichting hotel is een speciale stijl en de wellness is mooi maar mist een tikkeltje gezelligheid.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet war vielfältig und lecker. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel und die Zimmer sind mit ihrem alten Charme und der modernen Gestaltung und Einrichtung wunderschön!

Cons:

Der Spa-Bereich hat eigentlich alles was es braucht, fällt aber im Gegensatz zum Hotel etwas ab. Könnte mal erneuert und im selben Style wie das Hotel gestaltet werden

Ein toller Ort um zu Entspannen und Geniessen
Pros:

Das Hotel verfügt über ein grosses Grundstück und eine schöne, gepflegte Parkanlage. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Alles ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Das All-Inclusive-Angebot hat sich gelohnt - das Abendessen war toll (geschmacklich & optisch angerichtet)! Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichlich.
