Great location and value for money
Pros:

The check in staff were really welcoming, quick and efficient. The lady at the front desk used my first name while communicating with me which was a nice touch and was happy to have a joke which was great. The room was tidy and quiet. Great central location with free parking.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the bed was too firm for us, and the air conditioning was quite loud, so we didn't have the best sleep. The toilet seat was very loose so that needs some attention. The onsite carpark is small for the number of rooms so we had to park across the road in the AA carpark, which was fine for one night on a weekend, but it wouldn't be ideal for staying longer.

An unexpected pleasure
Pros:

An older, character-filled hotel that has been upgraded. The bathroom refit with spa bath and fantastic shower was a joy.

Central to town but not great quality

The staff that’s about it.

Cons:

The bed was terrible, the bathroom was dirty. The floors weren’t vacuumed and the facilities in the room are dated. The view was a carport but it’s right in town so no choice.
