Everything! The staff at checkin and checkout. The room was super clean with awesome relaxing bath and so quiet could not hear traffic. Walking into town for our show or shopping and the lovely breakfast in the restaurant. Would i recommend, absolutely! Thank you everyone for a pleasant stay for our night away, will definitely stay again.

Bathroom cleanliness
The staff were friendly, professional and saw to our every need. The restaurant was superb. We ate 4 meals at the restaurant. The service second to none and the meals were perfect in every aspect. Big thanks to Tim (waiter) and Shaun (Chef) who are am absolute credit to Distinction! We had a great breakfast package which gave us a hearty start to our days.
The hotel has an unusual layout and was a bit of a rabbit Warren. We found the bed a little small but I had not seen alternate options on the booking site. We will definitely use Dustinction New Plymouth again, but next time I will book via the Distinction Website to see all all of the options.
We were totally amazed by everything about this hotel, considering it was only $112 for the night. It was right in the middle of the CBD and so close to the venue where we had to be. We walked around looking for somewhere to go for dinner, then decided to go back and try the restaurant, and we were so glad we did. We couldn't fault anything about the place and then to read it is totally 100% New Zealand owned and operated was even better. We will use this place for any future bookings. We rate our whole stay 100%!

The bed was great. The service was very good too. The room service antipasto platter for 1 was exceptional.
The armchairs were wobbly and need replacing.
Our fridge was broken, and they replaced it straight away.
The hospitality from the start to the end was brilliant .
Their restaurant was brilliant joy and Tim are amazing.
. Our breakfast π β€οΈ π was perfect π₯° π it's worth every cent we spent.

Loved that your beds have a good gigantic pile of pillows on the bed!!!! Super comfortable and beautifully presented. More than one surface and pretty comfortable options for seating and relaxing rather than having to sit on the bed the whole time.
The heating, so meaning the ancient heat pump/loud droning wall heater system thing. Was barely functional!! And it sounded like a muffled vacuum cleaner running in the walls the entire time it was running. Although it barely took the chill off the room up on full for the whole night!
Terrible sleep, chilly kidneys from the uncomfortably low headache causing chill i got from the room. With the heating on full!
The television was ANCIENT!!! The quality was really really poor, every image was so blatantly pixelated and didn't improve, and the colors weren't bright or vibrant like my televisions at home. It was dull, pixelated picture, and all of TWO DIFFERENT FREEVIEW CHANNELS ONLY TO CHOOOSE FROM WITH CLEAR ENOUGH RECEPTION to be worth bothering to try and see or listen to and understand! And the remote had to be pressed upto a dozen times before it would recognize you were trying to do something!!!! EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED AND VERY DISSAPOINTED with the quality of 1.The room!! 2.The cleanliness of the bathroom!!! Seriously ewwww your hygiene in regards to the bath/shower/insode walls of the bathtub! I hate to say it, but it was unbelievably repulsive that the spa bath tub visibly hadn't had the inside of the tub actually hygienicly rinsed and wiped clean. And as we had just arrived as i saw the bathroom... it is extremely obvious that it wasn't even wiped out since last use, which is again, obvious!! previous to our arrival and check-in.
WOW just utter shock and completely totally shattered at this point.
Repeat customers generally come back and choose to stay again, BECAUSE THEY EXPECT EVEN SOME SEMBLANCE OF SAME PLACE THEY HAD SUCH A LOVELY MODERN LIFE ROOM!!!
With amenities such as a 1.clean bathroom 2. A smart television or a tv with the same capabilities, so a smart TV or at least for it to have a chrome cast attached, AND AT THE VERY BLOODY LEAST WORKING TUNED IN FREEVIEW WITH ALL THE CHANNELS!!
The staff were very friendly and offered us some yummy treats on arrival π

Only downfall was i forgot to check If there was a toaster in the room before arriving
10 out of 10 to all the staff that includes the restaurant staff ( chef and bar staff thank you for the marvelous meal n drinks aswel as the top notch choc cake sunday π―π₯)
