This hotel is in a beautiful, character-filled and historic building. Its style is understated but elegant and distinctively Californian. The ground floor bar and pool have a great ambience and the food and cocktails are delicious. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and well designed, with Vittoria coffee, a comfortable bed, soft, fluffy towels and even a view of the Hollywood sign from my window! The hotel is only a two minute walk from the Grammy Museum, which made it a perfect location for me.
The quilt was a bit too heavy for the warm weather - I would have loved a lighter cotton blanket but that's a rarity in any hotel.
My second stay here did not disappoint. Whether its the helpfulness and overall vibe of the staff, the style of the rooms or the quality of the food, for me its a 10 every time. There is a lot to see and experience in the area and if walking is your thing its a great place to stay and experience this part of LA.
I wish I'd stayed for a second week and explored the area even more.
Ein tolles Hotel mit coolem Vibe
Alles war top
Great architecture/design, pool was out of order so that was a bummer,
super friendly staff, got upgraded to a suite so our room was definitely roomy.
Bar was awesome and had great drinks, and the food was just as good.
Jorge was an extremely welcoming valet, and took care of us quickly! It was easy to park here ($18) to get to Figueroa on the Water
Very memorable stay. The rooms are amazing. I would opt for a Junior Suite with the additional seating area. The breakfast was fantastic and their free coffee in the lobby was great!
Stay at Hotel Figueroa and you feel the pulse of the city. The building is old in the right way. Spanish lines. White walls. Dark wood. It stands across from the bright glass of the arena in downtown Los Angeles. You step outside and the city is already moving.
The rooms are calm. Cool sheets. Clean design. A pool in the courtyard where the noise fades and the water catches the sun. At night, the bar fills with low voices and soft light. It feels private, even in the middle of everything.
The location is its quiet strength. You can walk to games, concerts, and late-night streets. And when you are hungry, you do not have to go far. Just a short walk brings you to Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse.
There, the buffet is not small. It is a feast. Salads, cheeses, vegetables laid out with care. Then the meat comes, carved at your table. Hot. Simple. Honest. You eat slowly. You leave full.
Hotel Figueroa gives you rest. Fogo de Chão gives you fire. Together, they make downtown Los Angeles feel easy and very alive.
Interesting hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Only F&B experience was the bar in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Bar: the F&B manager should consider their options. It could use a refresh. Breakfast: menu is tight, service was good. Rooms: very nice. Staff: very very helpful. Location: if you are going to the LA Convention Center or Basketball arena, great location.
Location great, Rooms are small (European style) but clean and well designed. Coffee pots are clean and great tasting pods - loved it.
This is my third year in a row visiting LA around the same time. Each of my three stays at the Hotel Fig is better than the last. I visit at a very busy time and this year was no exception, probably the busiest yet which makes my stay more and more exciting. Right away I was recognized by Nicole at the front desk who has always been friendly but new three years ago. Now she is a cool and confident professional vet (I feel like she could be running the place one day). The only thing is I wish she would just call me by my first name not Mr. My Last Name (that’s a joke)! The most surprising thing that happened this trip was that because the pool was temporarily closed for a private event (the following is a letter all guests received underneath their doors) “For your convenience , we have made special arrangements for our guests to use the pool at Hotel Indigo, located nearby. If you wish to use the pool during your stay, simply stop by the front desk at any time, and our team will gladly assist with your visit to Hotel Indigo.” I walked the three and a half blocks over to the other hotel and with zero incident hung out poolside for a few hours. It was great and I felt it was above and beyond on both hotels parts. If you’re visiting LA for the same reason I do and you are more of an artist type than a business type I think you’ll enjoy staying here more than maybe at a larger higher-rising hotel. It’s taken me awhile but I’m starting to understand what it means when they say Hotel Fig has an art-deco atmosphere. This year even two of my peers decided to stay here also in their own rooms, one previously staying at a different hotel and one coming for the first time. I am a Hyatt brand customer for life and Hotel Fig is a big reason why.
We discovered a bug in our bed sheets when we went to lay down. Very disconcerting and in my travels, the first time I have experienced bugs in my room. We quickly departed and while the hotel did the minimum by apologizing and changing our room - it was not enough to take away the inconvenience and disruption to our stay.
I personally will never stay at this hotel again as although they can apologize all they want - the impact was totally felt by my party and no attempt was made by hotel staff to get our stay "back on track" and make sure we had a pleasant time.
Gorgeous hotel - common areas and the king suite, friendly staff, great drinks -lattes and alcoholic- and the breakfast burrito was fantastic. We were going to a Laker’s game and the location for that was amazing. We walked all around - little Tokyo, Chinatown, Olvera St, grand central market and those were walkable if you like to walk.
This was a great boutique hotel with historical charm and at a great location across from LA Live and Crypto area. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was amazing and the rooms were well kept.
