Parkcity Everly Hotel

The hotel located next to ocean and river entrance to the ocean. The view from the hotel is beautiful. Overall nice, spacious hotel. The interior however is a bit dated. And the humidity is high, resulting in high condensation that makes everything in the room wet.

Good location.
Mall is just beside the hotel.
Many local eateries within walking distance.
Nice sized pool for a swim.

Easy access to most places in the area

Stayed a night in Bintulu during my journey from Miri to Sibu. Big room, quite, clean, but ages hotel, aircond very cold although already adjust to small and high temperatures. Near to Shopping mall, but little journey to downtown or restaurants.

Excellent location, the property needed an upgrade.

Hotel is old but well maintained. Room smell a bit musky but frankly not that noticeable. Water pressure is good but flushing is weak.

Breakfast spread could be improved if really want to be picky.

Location is alright as it is next to a mall but food selection in mall is not that good.

Convenient location for visiting family. There was a shopping center next door to the property - about a 5 minute walk and there was a lot of dining options there if you didn't want to eat in the hotel. We visited during Ramadan and the very popular Ramadan buffet was held every evening and the cafe was very crowded.
It is an old hotel and the bathroom is a little dated with the shower in the bath tub and it is a slight challenge to get to the shower if you have some mobility issues. There is no non slip bath mat provided so you need to take care when climbing out of the bath tub.
Overall we had a pleasant stay.

An ageing hotel.
Friendly receptionist yet they are cramped in one small counter. Hard to fathom why the counter looks stuffy.
No socket plug located beside bed.
Room lighting too dim due to inavailibility of standing light / table light.
Tv channel sometimes missing or pixelated till unable to see the content tv itself.

Advantages:
Prayer mat (sejadah) readily available at room.
Quickly rectify to offer refreshner spray at room after informing front office that the non-smoking room have smoking scent.

Excellent staff who can resolve customer's issue. They are very friendly and courtesy.

Old but well maintained

This is my first time to Bintulu. I feel glad staying in Parkcity Everly Hotel because it provide all my need during the stay. Thank you

Had a seminar there few years back. It's somewhat a dated hotel, I presume aging 20+ years and it's reasonable that the accomodation was so-so. But I have to give credits for the nice scenery and also nice hospitality provided by the staff

The room was adequate but smaller than the last time I booked at the hotel.

the staff should improve their english skills, or at least be prepared to converse in english. they make me facepalm everytime i talk to them. poor maintenance, problems with toilet bowl and shower again similar to my previous week stay in another room.

the bathtub is leaking and rusty with hole and got hair at ground .

The check in process was easy, but a little too easy as in I was not shown what direction to head to get to my room, what floor it was on or even where the lifts were. Check in staff were pleasant enough though. I eventually found my room and it was ok. For an "executive suite" it was way below par, but for a normal double room, it would have been fine. Decor was very dated but sufficient. I didn't particularly like the wooden flooring, but that's a personal choice and it was clean so hey ho. The biggest issue I had was I could only find one plug socket, which was nowhere near the bed and it appeared to be very loose in the wall. The 2 x USB sockets on it were handy, but only worked when they wanted too. The room phone did not work so I had to go to reception to order room service. On that subject, I ordered a pizza and it was delicious. I genuinely loved it and it was delivered piping hot. The downside was the guy who delivered demanded cash only (which was not stated anywhere in the room service menu) and I did not have enough cash on my so, much to a bemused look from him, I charged it to my room. The shower was over the bath which was a bit dated but was decent enough. The bath mat was a bit shabby looking so did not use it. The towels were clean and fresh. The bed was very comfortable and I did have a couple of good nights sleep. I did nit try the restaurant in the hotel so cannot comment. Overall, it is a decent hotel that could be doing with a facelift, but it was OK. It is located right next to a shopping mall which, being honest, is worth a miss, but that's for a different review.

My family has been staying at the Everly for as long as I can remember and recently (July) I was so disappointed in the standard it had dropped to. Seemed management had not cared at all about guests or staff. However, this recent visit Just this month was wonderful!!! We got our requested adjoining rooms that were excellent, clean, huge, every detail taken care of!! I noticed they had updated phones, menu, bathroom amenities holder and even added USB ports! Fantastic!
As always - the staff were awesome, polite and the whole place is just a nice quiet, clean place to call home while travelling. House keeping deserve a special mention as she took care of everything and called someone to fix the toilet seat that I hadn’t even noticed was slightly wobbly. Room service was impeccable and as always quick and fresh! The food in the restaurant has definitely increased in quality - my mum said it was the best Tom Yum soup she’s ever had!
Well done ParkCity Everly!!! I’m looking forward to coming back soon!!

Pool supposed to open at 7am but closed for maintenance till 10am.
Staff at cafe for breakfast not so friendly.
