No hot water

Nice hotel in the heart of thamel, quiet, clean and spacious. With a restaurant in the backyard en very friendly people at the reception. Good hot shower, good beds. I would have appreciated an extra blanket but maybe if I would have asked they would have provided.

Great, simple accommodations in Thamel. Breakfast is included from the restaurant next door. The staff are the best part of this hotel - Ready to help with anything at anytime. Rustam led us on a tour of historic sites, introduced us to local cuisine, and booked cars when we needed a taxi.

Really friendly People. Always trying to give you the best experience. Baggage can be store free of charge for multiple days. I had great contact with all the staff. Rustam gave me a really nice tour through baktapur durbar square. Breakfast is also tasty with different options

-Small room, no bathroom amenities included
-AC had problem
-Room were smelling really bad with bugs.
-No soundproof window as it was noisy all night
-No hot water

Considering the $40/night price I paid I would highly recommend staying somewhere else.

Very welcoming helpful staff. With an affordable price. Very helpful with Airport pick up and showing me where to get the least fees when using the ATM. And the best Sim for my phone. Great hotels, with a standard room which is ideal. Very nice restaurant just outside the hotel

The stay was fine, good shower, A/C and small balcony, bed was just ok for a four night stay. Great location in a lovely part of the city, staff were very nice too, breakfast was at the Olive restaurant right next door and was very good. Overall I’d recommend this hotel for the cheap price I paid.

My stay was fine, hotel was in a great location, staff were really friendly and very helpful, you have to insist on room service relating to changing bedding, which was not an issue with me. Wifi and shower was good no issues.. I would recommend staying here for the price I paid.

The hotel rooms are spacious, comfortable with good AC and fan. Great staff who are always helpful and welcoming. Clean room and bathroom. Superb location in the centre of Thamel but set back from rhe busy road so very peaceful. I will certainly have this hotel as my first choice in Thamel. The o ly downside is that it first not have a lift so not suitable for those with mobility problems.

I stay here every time I come to Kathmandu. It is a very nice place, with great staff and location. The breakfast is great (coffee amazing). Very great value. Highly recommend

Not as expected and shown on the internet, but the service was good.

My wife and I stayed for a full month. We highly recommend. Staff were super friendly and helpful, consistently, every day. The hotel is set back from the street, so it’s quiet, like an oasis. You’ll be happy staying there.

Overall, I would recommend this place as it has beautiful views and excellent service.

I visited Nepal 2 times in this year. First in January and 2nd in may. For both of my visiting I stayed at thamel grand hotel. They are very friendly and gave us a homely environment. When I went with my family for 7 days tour. They made a reasonable tour plan for me. And the experience was excellent. I strongly recommend thamel grand hotel for the travellers to take their hospitality.

Very Good budget hotel ,Staff are very polite and courteous ,location central close to Thamel Market. Adjoining Restaurant in same property Black olive cafe bar and restaurant has good ambience and good food.
Mr Buddha at the reception was very polite and considerate.

Great accommodation in Thamel. Perfect location to explore the city but hidden from the busy and noisy streets of Kathmandu. Rooms are big and clean and really good price. Amazing breakfast is served in the restaurant in front. Highly appreciated the friendly staff

Thamel Grand has a very friendly and hellpfull staff.
Rooms are clean. Value for money.Rooms 01 and 04 have balcony. Rooftop terrace to sit and relax.
Breakfast (included in Black Olive restaurant)simple and delicious

I had a wonderful experience staying at the hotel. One of the important things I have realized Humanity or unconditional love that you receive from around is something that you can't buy with any big amount of money.
I appreciate the service that the staff provided me during my staying at the hotel.

I paid not for the type bedroom wherein I slept or the other stuff that I used in the hotel area, but hopefully for the great hospitality the staff treated me with, and their willingness to help a strange guest like me to realize a true value of being a human to live in the same planet.

Although, the hotel seems to have some downsides in terms of adequacy of consideration, (i.e, when it comes about calculating the price value as per the quality of the products or services you are buying), I could realize that their intention or willingness to treat me with great hospitality or the respect they showed me as a brother but not as their customer, was really true, and so, priceless and above all.
