Pros:

Easy check-in and check-out. When the app started working - initially it would send the code to my email but the staff were able to help. Nice vibe.

Cons:

We didn’t get a parking spot on Saturday night. By the morning the spots were cleared out. Maybe they were all dining in the restaurant.

Lovely boutique hotel experience for a long weekend getaway
Pros:

The property was easy to get to and was nice overall. The rooms were modern and very spacious, the bathrooms were renovated to look more modern but still had an “old” feel to them but it was fine (it didn’t hinder it from working as a bathroom). It was easy to park and check in/out was super easy as well. The games room was also super fun and I’d recommend using it!

Cons:

While there was a gym, it was very confusing to find and it wasn’t listed in the facilities/map at all. Given the feel of the hotel was to feel more modern, providing robes and/or slippers would help elevate the experience.

Enjoyed our stay but the weather wasn't great. loved the facilities and the bed was devine!
Pros:

loved the bed! the outdoor spa and sauna were great. The restaurant is beautifully presented.

Cons:

breakfast options were a bit scant, the sauna code didn't work so for our first time I had to go to the restaurant door in my robe as when I rang for help was told to get staff from there. I was a little embarrassed as I had taken my makeup off and well was in my robe with people looking at me like that....I had thought we would just quietly slip up the stairs without and audience.
On Saturday night it was good that we took our own towels t othe sauna as when we got in there all were used. we were the last one for the night but this still should have been checked I think to ensure fresh towels were available.

Great hotel in Blackheath, lovely spacious room and decor - but missed the personal, human touch.
Pros:

Location was lovely and the room was really nice and spacious. Funky decor which was great. The access using codes was also really straightforward after a long trip. Plenty of parking.

Cons:

The use of access codes was simple however it also meant there was no contact with any staff or people which felt strange. The coffee sachet was hard to use and didn't make great coffee. I was uncertain if there was breakfast or meal options when I was in the room. Having all of the info online is a mixed bag - both good and bad. It is 1.5 k into the village so you need a car.

Perfect
Pros:

I admired the unique and modern retro renos keeping with age of property from room to restaurant/ bar. The eco aspect also noticed with QR codes etc for info and bookings. Location great for walks and short drives and backstreets to shopping village for meals. The gardens and trees around the property gave privacy to rooms and a relaxing walk about. The various zones to relax was also inviting. Blaq restaurant and bar were welcoming with exceptional service and delicious faultless food menu and drinks selection.

Despite some small issues it’s a terrific place
Pros:

It’s a stylish retreat in a great location and terrific staff. Restaurant is excellent.

Cons:

My room (120) was in a block parallel with the streets you could hear traffic.

The gravel in the parking area looks really cool but the car wheels crunching over it coming and going also is a bit annoying.

Phone contact with staff can be a little frustrating as no one answered the phone the few times I rang for assistance.

Finally - and this is nothing to do with the hotel - I mention this so maybe other guests consider it, but the biggest scourge of hotel staying is guests who talk loudly as they come and go from their rooms, thunder about in their rooms (WTF do they do to make such thumping) and the perennial door slammers.
