My kids enjoy the arcade and swimming!
Breakfast was awful. No juice, eggs, or meat. Just some bagels, cereal, and waffles. They had a container out that had orange juice in it, but it was empty the entire time… Considering the price of this hotel and that it’s supposed to be a “nicer” hotel, the breakfast was terrible. I’ve had way better continental breakfast at cheaper hotels when traveling.
The Waters is a perfect little get away for us since we live about an hour away. The hotel is clean and the remodel to the rooms is beautiful.
We ran into an issue while there pertaining to the restaurant. We tried calling to order pizzas but no one was answering. My husband and I physically went down there and saw that the restaurant was closed for a half hour. They're in the middle of remodeling so we didn't really question anything but when we got to the bar, the bartender told us that their kitchen staff walked out a few days prior so it was just her and another bartender also managing cooking, waitressing, and bussing tables. Initially we planned to order food but with this story, and the bartender specifically telling us she wishes people would just doordash or eat across the street, we decided not to eat there. You could obviously see how overwhelmed they were. The snack concession was also closed during the stay and appears to have been closed for awhile. I feel as though there's a lot of missed opportunities by having both food spots closed. I know our family would've eaten there multiple times throughout our one night stay. The breakfast was also lackluster, likely due to the lack of kitchen staff, but it was not as good as we've had in the past
There was no hot water on the floor I was staying ok
Breakfast and the pool were exactly what we were looking for
The room could have a few more amenities and a bit cleaner
"A 'water' resort with no hot water is a failure, but the management’s reaction was the real disaster. When I expressed frustration about the lack of basic utilities, I was actually reprimanded by the staff for my tone rather than being offered a solution or an apology. It was an absolute 'Twilight Zone' experience to be scolded for expecting a warm shower. They seem to care more about tone-policing guests than maintaining their infrastructure. If you want a relaxing Northwoods trip where you aren't treated like a child for wanting a functioning room, stay elsewhere."++
The beds were amazingly comfortable.
The rooms were beautiful! Comfortable beds , great food at The Pub, and lots to do on site!
Even though the beds were so comfortable, the pillows were the opposite. Very hard, uncomfortable to sleep on! Also, the breakfast was lacking. The only hot option was waffles/waffle-makers which everyone seemed to want, so the lines were extremely long.
Room was excellent, beds were amazing ....loved the place .....it was perfect!!
The breakfast was ok. The lady helping in breakfast room was fantastic but she needs more help when busy..people staying there were so rude to her.....please add eggs , bacon and sausage ...that would make breakfast outstanding!
