Varanasi trip was wonderful. Evening Pooja at Ghats were mesmerizing. Ganga ji bath was refreshing. Enjoyed showing as well as local food. Location of hotel was on the Bank of Ganges

The location as mentioned online.. is partially true, as the cafe is not a part of the hotel.. so the guest cannot use the rooftop balcony after 11pm.. which is not mentioned to us earlier.
Online it says free parking.. but as the hotel is new the ghat, you cannot take your car there. Its walking distance of almost 1km through narrow roads, harldy 2 bikes can pass.
The restaurant owner is rude and doesn't know how to talk to customers.
Room is too expensive for its price.. washroom is not great.
So if you plan to book the hotel only for view, please don't.

Not that good in terms services.. and not clean at all...people are not well spoken .. also mis information given about the hotel.. there are other far better hotels available at the same price

Best place to stay in varanasi near ghat and in the center of the city would recommend anyone travelling varanasi should visit here and also they have a wounderful cafe looking ganga with amazing food

Sanjay was such a great guide. So knowledgeable! He took us to see all cultural sites in varanasi old town and pointed out points of interest. He recommended us on local food, drinks, history, way of life in India. He explained this very clearly and didn’t feel rushed. We had private tour just us a couples very good English and didn’t expect us to buy anything along the way! We ended the trip with delicious food on the roof top of the Ganges view cafe. Had nice chai and biryani.

dispite bad reviews in bookin and others we had an excellent stay - the rooftop is perfect for watching Ganges rooms are ok - not perfectly clean but very good for Varanasi.

I stayed at Hotel Sita Palace in Varanasi for four days, and to say it was excellent would be an understatement. Every staff member was extremely polite, courteous, and well-mannered. Whatever I requested was promptly arranged. In fact, when the geyser in my brother’s room was not working properly, they immediately shifted him to an even better room at the same rate.

The rooftop restaurant is simply unparalleled. You can enjoy your breakfast, lunch, or dinner while admiring the serene beauty of the Ganga River. Just step down from the hotel, and you reach the Ganga Ghat, from where you can take a boat ride to enjoy the enchanting view of the river and the evening Aarti.

The hotel has an automatic lift, so there’s absolutely no difficulty in moving up and down. The quality of food is also excellent. If I ever visit Banaras again, I will definitely stay at Hotel Sita Palace once more.

And for Bengali visitors, there’s an added advantage — the hotel has Bengali staff members like Sourav Chakraborty and Bishu, who speak and understand Bengali very well.

Overall, I would rate this hotel five out of five.

The **staff were outstanding**—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They went above and beyond to make the stay pleasant and stress-free. Their hospitality added a personal touch to the whole experience.

**Spiritual & Cultural Experience:**
What stood out the most was the **serene and spiritual atmosphere**. Staying at Hotel Sita felt like an authentic Varanasi experience—peaceful mornings by the river and an overall sense of connection to the city’s heritage.

**Hygiene:**
One area for improvement would be **hygiene**, which I’d rate at **3/5 stars**. While the rooms were generally clean, a bit more attention to cleanliness in the bathrooms and common areas would elevate the overall stay.

**Overall:**
Hotel Sita offers a **safe, welcoming, and spiritually enriching stay** that truly reflects the soul of Varanasi. With improved hygiene, it could easily be a top-tier choice for travelers.

But the way to this hotel is seriously let down. You have to pass through lot of Gali and these passages are really horrible and it stinks too. Vehicles cant reach this hotel. You have to walk 400 mtrs from the main road to Hotel Sita in these unhygienic passage roads. I felt sorry to write this review and give them 4/5. The management is really good and helpful, they took us to Kashi vishwanath Temple, they even sent a porter to pick our luggage from the main road to the hotel and back to the main road when we were leaving. Even the hotel cant do anything about this.

Feeback: The Maharaja Room looks outdated. Pandey ji please renovate it soon. Its a very nice room but needs immediate changes.

部屋からガンジス川が見える部屋に泊りたいと思い、このホテルにしました。ガンジス川に接しており、想像通りで良かったです。周囲にレストラン等も多いので、食事にも困りません(中にもレストランがあります)。少し古い建物・部屋でしたが、清潔でした。
空港からのホテルへのタクシーを手配してもらいました(1000ルピー)。このホテルに限らず、川沿いのホテルは路地が狭いので、最後の数百メートルは徒歩でのアクセスのみです。タクシーを降りてから、ホテルまでの経路は、迎えが無いと初めて訪れるときは難しいかもしれません(Google mapでなんとかなりますが、狭い路地に進入するのに勇気が必要かもしれません)。
全体的には満足なホテルでした。周囲のホテルと較べて、少し高めかなとは思います。
一点気になるのは、タクシーの手配のため、Hotels.comの連絡機能で連絡しましたが連絡が無く、ホテルのホームページからメールアドレスを調べて直接連絡したら、返事がもらえました。タクシーの手配は問題ありませんでした。

ホテルとは関係ありませんが、ガンジス川の雨期の増水を甘く見ていました。ガンガーをつなぐ川沿いの道は完全に水没していて(8月中旬)、各ガードには、川と反対側の狭い路地経由で行く必要がありました。

It was amazing staying at Sita As it is close to ganga ji and all the rooms of hotel Sita have front river view as we’ll as situated in the center u can explore whole varanasi easily .they too have a saree shop which is know as Saawariya sarees where they have wide variety of Banarasi sarees .the property owner Mr Saurabh sharma is really humble and he love to share knowledge abt varanasi if some one visiting varanasi do come and stay at this place and try to meet mr sharma too about gud knowledge.

Best place to stay near ghat .Hotel is located at Chausatti ghat .they have all rooms river facing and the rooms are also good with all major facilities .Mr Saurabh Sharma owner of the property is really a great host and will try to get accurate information about varanasi (Kashi ) and also the staff of the hotel is well mannered and always eagerly to help you .i would definitely ask everyone coming varanasi should stay here to fell the real vibe of Kashi

Located On the Banks of Varanasi.
The view from the room is beautiful. Rooms are clean with room & bath amenities. Lift is available for top floor movement. Pandeyji was soft and helpful. The hotel is quiet old and appox a km away from Kashi Vishwanath temple. Small and peaceful hotel.
You can take a dip in holy Ganga at anytime of the day just by walking down a few steps from hotel. Boats on rent available on banks, which take you out on 65 ghats journey.
Pooja can be attended on Dashwanegh ghat nearby just at walking distance or even from rooftop restaurant.
For 80 ghat pooja, it requires a boat travel as it is around 2 kms.
Rooftop restaurant gives a beautiful view of ghats. Food is good.
Taxi charges for railway station just 5-6 kms away was Rs. 800 which is humongous and owner should definitely make a note of. This was a surprise factor for us.
Otherwise everything was great.

This was my second visit to Varanasi, and I had a very comfortable stay at Sita Hotel. In a city full of stairs, having an elevator was such a relief! The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room cool and pleasant. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. I truly appreciated their hospitality and would love to stay here again on my next visit!

**"Avoid This Hotel at All Costs"**

The access road to the hotel is incredibly unpleasant and challenging to navigate, setting a negative tone right from the start. Unfortunately, the Maharaja room I booked fell far short of my expectations. The presence of numerous mosquitoes and tiny insects and lizards made it uncomfortable. Breakfast was a significant letdown—not just below standard, but genuinely disappointing. While dinner was passable, it was clear that the hotel was severely understaffed, which affected the overall experience. Due to unhygienic food, I suffered severe diarrhoea and fever.

The sole redeeming feature was the river-facing room, which provided a lovely view. However, this minor positive does not outweigh the issues I encountered. At check-out, the behaviour of the reception staff was rude, and I was disturbed to overhear derogatory comments about the Gujarati community. In light of all these factors, I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. Seek alternatives that truly value their guests.“T

Rooms are good and view is excellent and their hotel food is also good. The hotel staff is being good with us and their behaviour is also good. One of the hotel staff also helped us to give puja and various other locations.the view from the hotel room is great .

By coincidence we passed by Hotel Sita on the way to the ghats. The owner's son (Saurabh) was around and handed over a business card with fixed rates on the back. I had to smile and told him that he will never be able to increase prices if he keeps on handing out these. To my surprise he agreed! ;-) We returned a week later and Saurabh remembered our previous chat. With incredible hospitality he gave us a room with a view over Ganga river in the 3rd floor for a fantastic rate as he understood that due to our long travel period we were on a budget. The room was basic with a ceiling fan, Tv, cabinet, shelf, soap / shampoo, toilet paper, white sheets and towels. There is an elevator for heavy luggage. The location of Sita Hotel is right in line with the ghats. Reachable through a quiet pedestrian zone (8 mins walk). Contact them before to send a luggage boy for a few rupees if you can't carry your suitcase from the mainroad to the hotel. From here you can explore all major ghats and take a boat to the other side. A few Sadhus are located very close on the riverside. They have a rooftop with a picturesque view over the area and they even arranged a bday cake for us! It has been a great experience staying there and we enjoyed the company, flexibility and friendliness. Thx for the stay

It was a wonderful 2 nights stay there. We had booked three rooms for 6 of us. Hotel is right at the ghat. But this is not for elderly people with walking difficulties. Ideal place to explore ghats. Food is excellent. Hotel staff ensures you have no problem with luggage. We visited during Kumbh and it was little tough. Hotel staff make it easy even though we had 10 suitcases in total ( 4 bigs and 6 small). But you also need to be cooperative. Little bad conditions of the washrooms. Water dripping problem exists. Overall good comfortable stay
