Unfortunately, our stay did not meet expectations due to widespread maintenance issues.
During heavy rain, water entered our room through leaking windows and/or walls, flooding the room and making it unusable. Water also dripped from the ceiling onto our luggage. We were moved to an alternative room, which experienced the same problem. A second alternative room was finally dry, but it was a downgrade to a standard king room. The compensation offered for three nights in a downgraded room was a staggering 4% of the booking price.
In the original ocean-view room, the curtains were not functional and could neither be properly opened nor closed.
Room cleanliness was acceptable but below expectations, with hair on the floor at check-in and visible stains on otherwise clean bedsheets. Several bathroom lights were also flickering or not working.
On the second morning, there was no hot water due to a hotel-wide issue. After raising the concern, a complimentary breakfast was offered.
The beach directly in front of the hotel was not cleaned and had noticeable garbage. Broken floor tiles were present throughout the property, mostly cosmetic but contributing to an overall neglected appearance.
We understand that our stay coincided with strong wind and heavy rainfall. However, staff stated that the window leakage is a known issue, indicating that these maintenance problems are ongoing and not being taken care of.
Overall, neglected maintenance appears to be systemic. While staff were polite and attempted to assist, the condition of the property significantly impacted our stay, and as long as the property does not receive the necessary funds for a larger fix, we would not recommend this hotel.
