Royal Dunkeld Hotel

Very untidy outside the property
Inside and room dated couldn’t open window on a hot night
Bathroom dated old delapadated shower
Bed very hard and uncomfortable didn’t get much sleep
Curtains not wide enough to close and keep light out
Bedroom window that dirty outside couldn’t see out of it

We were in the annexe called a Kabin which was a glorified shed that the window didn't open and it was full of condensation, showerhead was grubby, wall paper was torn. Staff were not approachable and we waited more than mins to get booked in even although there were staff in the vicinity. There was no internet as it was down but the girl on reception didn't even lift her head to tell us that.

Elderly customer one using a stick so was given the top floor , no help with bags and no lift.

The shower needs a small shelf to place soap and shampoo containers while showering.

The towels could of been a higher quality

Dirty carpet covered dust, shoe prints on the bath tube. Found fingernail clippings on the floor, hairs and stains on the duvet cover and mould around the shower door.

Has the staff clean this “hotel room” before the guest checkin? I doubt!!!

Can’t stand to stay in an annex room. If you read the hotel website, it describes “Our Annexe, for example, provides you with comfortable rooms at very affordable prices in a separate building”. Don’t understand what is the definition of building! To me, this annex is just the container, where we put the cargo inside and ship!

I don’t trust the bed hygiene and therefore I have to use my clothes to cover the bed. Of course, I didn’t use the pillows, duvet, blankets, towels.

Can you imagine when you walk out from the “so called” hotel room, it is a “nature” environment! If you are lucky enough, insects will be your visitors.

Though I know there is no air conditioner, there is no air flow in the room. Finally I found the window at the toilet has been open for a little crack, I believe that’s the only place for air flow. Can’t imagine how to substain if it has heat wave.

Weak or nearly dead wifi! Unfortunately my mobile signal is weak as well. It said it has phone in the “Hotel room”, sadly, I can’t find it. I tried to call hotel staff by my mobile phone, but the network is dead and I can’t reach them.

Not enough hot bathing water. Well, we are lucky that the weather is not cold, otherwise, we will definitely get sick!

One important thing is, my booking is being hacked!!!! I received whatspp from Central de Agendamentos IESA, +55 51 3076-1020, asking me to verify our identity by clicking on the link. I don’t know how much personal information has been stolen!

For sure, I will never visit this hotel again and recommend to my friends. It actually ruin my impression to Dunkeld.

To price I paid for the stay was expensive for what I got. The bed wasn't the most comfortable and it was very noisy when moving. The shower was very small. The toilet paper holder did not hold the toilet paper. The toilet moved everytime you used it. The toilet door didn't close The car park of the hotel was not tarmaced and if awful condition resulting in my car under body was scraping everytime because of the huge potholes. And when arrived and departed there no staff on the reception desk to greet us.

Wasp nest outside room window unable to open window in case they came into the room. Discovered the morning i was departing. Staff unhelpful. Unable to have breakfast in the restaurant as I had a dog. Staff member was going to try and open the bar area for us to have breakfast....we went elsewhere. Hotel looked tired, filthy in areas, public toilets dirty. Reception area untidy with various things lying on it. Absolute disgrace
