Pros:

Hotel is and looks like a grand old colonial building. With a good view of water. Very good sized rooms and comfortable beds. Location was good for walking to the museum and garden nearby . Very friendly cheerful staff.Breakfast offered many choices.. The evening ceremony of beating the big drum while lighting the torches outside was very charming .

Cons:

Nearest beach is 45 minutes drive away . There is an abundance of small ,plastic water bottles in rooms which is in direct conflict with idea of environmental protection. Service is on a very slow island pace.

I would never stay anywhere else in Suva unless it’s the GPH. I was able to undertake reservations via Booking.com from
Pros:

Close to the city centre, excellent breakfast, 5* accom, friendly staff

Cons:

When I extended my stay, nobody told me that when the first booking ends, the room card would not work! Found out for myself

Upgrade needs to be done to the rooms, common rest room areas as they hotel is old & lacks upkeep.
Pros:

Location of the hotel for sunset is the only thing that captivates a visitor. Staff were courteous.

Cons:

The first day we had breakfast in the dining area it was full of flies. We sent an email to the General Manager who sent us the standard response. There was certainly action taken after our complaint!! Overall cleanliness in the common areas. We understand it was summer but there were also cockroaches and we came across at two. One that was dead and lying in the area for a while and the other came close to my feet when I had to take necessary action. Also if we did not check our bill there was a charge for item purchased with cash and then put on the room bill!!!

Pros:

Das Hotel hat ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit einem sehr guten Frühstücksangebot, das Parken ist kostenlos, der Pool schön groß zum schwimmen, das Essen im Restaurant ist tadellos

Cons:

Leider liegt es manchmal an so kleinen Dingen, damit alles perfekt ist, ich habe die Maintenance auf lose Türen auf dem Board und einen losen Griff in der Dusche aufmerksam gemacht, nur einer wurde ordentlich neu befestigt, auch musste man darauf hinweisen, das mal auf der Terrasse gekehrt werden muss, beim Rundgang durch das alte Haus in der 1. Etage sind mir an den Wänden viele kleine Ameisen aufgefallen, warum muss das erst der Gast sehen, warum sieht das nicht das Personal,all das habe ich auch angesprochen und schreibe es nicht nur hier, das sind sicherlich Kleinigkeiten, aber für diesen hohen Preis verlangt man Perfektion, viel schwerer wiegt, das der alte Stile des Hauses nicht mehr erhalten ist, der wurde mit dem Abriss der Flügel für immer zerstört, auch passt die Zimmerausstattung im Anbau nicht zum alten Style des Hauses, das wird bestimmt auch nicht mehr durch diese riesige Hotelgruppe IHG gelöst

Confortable, Élégant, Situation centrale parfaite, Agréable
Pros:

Le decor du hall de l'hotel et le jardin face à la mer sont très beaux et invite au repos. Le spa est accueillant et accessible en prix. Au check-in, le personnel est accueillant et efficace. La situation géographique est idéale: face à la mer, à Albert Park, au Musée, près du centre ville. Le coffee shop permet d'accueillir des visiteurs. Les différents lieux de repas/boisson offrent une variété de vue et ambiance. Le petit-déjeuner est parfait, bravo ! Les repas sont bons.

Cons:

Le service restauration est à améliorer : trop lent à intervenir et livrer les commandes (même pour du thé ou de l'eau), nos soupes n'ont pas été commandé, les cocktails pourraient être meilleurs. Le staff a besoin de formation supplémentaire et savoir ajuster leur écoute et attention aux besoins des clients. Les carreaux sol de la salle de bain et douche sont glissants et donc dangereux. J'ai du rajouter des serviettes au sol. Le décor des chambres est pauvre, sans personnalité, pour un hotel fidjien qui se veut royal. Il y avait une grosse marre d'eau dans le couloir - surement une fuite depuis un des murs. Aucune ambiance/animation fidjienne en musique douce au moins.

The fact you have to give your details time and time again to check understating in their properties often. Booking channel and profiles do not align… tragic in today’s world

Short comings were few, but overall was excellent.
Pros:

Excellent location. Being vegetarian, there was only limited choice. Not everyone prefers continental brekkie for five straight days. Would have preferred some more hot choice, like roti, curry, chutney etc. Sliding
Screen door was tight n not easy to slide.

Cons:

As mentioned above. Plus replenishment of milk, water etc could have been better, however I must mention that they were promptly supplied with requests being made.
