Property is a grand old lady enjoyed the ambience and nostalgia and location beautiful area.
Requires maintenance in certain areas of hotel. Would have been nice to have the lights lit up by the pool in the evening.
The breakfast, room and dinner are really great, but the breakfast stands out for me more.
Its in the centre and sea view is really great.
Location
Nothing all well
Conveniently situated, easy access to taxis and drop offs. Food was great. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The room cleaning can be better. We checked into room where the services were dusty. One of the plug points was not working and we struggled to reach reception when we tried dialing 0, so every time we had to walk to reception to request something.
Comfortable
Over priced
I like how close it was to everything, walking distance to go anywhere like to flea markets, movies, takeaway restaurants etc. I also liked how it wasn’t super busy, quiet and peaceful at the hotel, not too crowded. I love the history about the hotel, walking through it was fascinating seeing the historical sites of grand pacific. Really great for value of money too and I like how they still accept cash not like other places to stay, they’re cashless.
Probably it’s limited restaurants, and breakfast buffet. I wish there were more options for us to choose from. A lot of our stuff from our room were quite worn out, our outside sliding door was jammed so we didn’t really get to enjoy our view from the outside and our tv kept glitching or completely blacking out a lot which was quite annoying when you’re trying to watch something on it.
It's clean and very nice
Nothing it was perfect
Location around Suva. Newly renovated. Bedrooms comfortable and great products. Breakfast was good. Front check-in excellent as well as the Porter.
The bar near the waterfront was not staffed sufficiently, had to constantly ask for our order. Maybe during happy hour a few complimentary snacks. Dinner menu maybe a few local options.
We stayed at the Grand Pacific for 11 nights in May and had a lovely relaxing stay. The staff are lovely , so helpful and friendly.
The hotel hosts a lot of conferences but it didn’t interfere with our stay as they were in a big conference suite.
The pool area is nice with a view of fishing ships out at sea. There is also a bar with comfortable seats nr the pool. The original old part of the hotel is lovely with lots of photos of Queen Elizabeth from her visit in the 1950’s.
Dining on the terrace overlooking the pool and ocean is a lovely setting and the food and service good.
Our room was comfortable and cleaned every day, hanging space in the wardrobe not very big but there were additional shelves available. Shower room was spacious with plenty of towels and bathrobes provided.
The only irritation was small tour groups coming to look round and take photos on several mornings, presumably when a cruise ship was in Suva .
Location. Comfort. Cleanliness. Friendly staffs. Parking. Pool and harbor view.
Extremely comfortable stay
Great location
Well presented and friendly staff
Big car park
Nothing to mention
Spacious room, wonderful historic building, very friendly and helpful staff, tasty breakfast
The quality of food was good but best of all was the personal approach of the staff. Reception especially were extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way when I had difficulties with my travel card. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially older couples.
