De ligging is perfect.
Everything is in distance walk, easy to walk to Gion with nice view on the way. Right in the heart of the commercial main street. Clean.

It is located above a busy street, with convenient access to nearby markets. There is a reception desk for check-in, similar to hotels in the U.S., and coin-operated laundry facilities.
We booked one of the most expensive rooms in the hotel-a tatami-style room. It was spacious enough for four people, but the bathroom bidet didn’t work properly, and the bathroom had an unpleasant smell. There was a small refrigerator but no microwave. We also had to make our own beds, although we weren’t sure whether this was standard for a tatami-style room. Given the price we paid, we expected a better experience. In hindsight, booking separate rooms might have been a better choice.

The location was absolutely amazing.
The Wi-Fi sometimes acted tricky. The speed would slow down and then become okay again.
Had a water bubbler in the lobby, a spacious common space, and ammenities to grab near the elevator. The room was spacious compared to many other hotels and it was very clean. Note that you can't see out the window and have to ask to open it. The AC was nice and strong. Clean room. The water dispenser in the lobby was a life saver in the blistering heat of summer.
