Convenient location
Room was too small
No room service for meal
No complimentary biscuits
No cutlery
The bed and pillows were unbelievably comfortable!
The restaurant closed before 7pm, just before we arrived, there were no snacks in the room and unfortunately nothing open in town.
Very helpful, friendly staff. The room is larger than usual and comfortable.
Fantastic scenery and location
Exceptional service
Very clean
Location and comfortable beds
Carpet dirty. Was charged for sofa bed which I pre paid for… sofa bed I paid for wasn’t made until 8pm when prompted by us. Housekeeping burst into the room and turned lights on at 9am while kids still asleep at n second room, hadn’t checked out yet. Last stay, a friend paid for a gift bottle of wine which wasn’t given to us until we asked after checkout. So basically, poor attention to detail and guests not put first.
Well, check-in was easy. Strange layout of rooms lucky
they have lifts. Big carpark behind with easy access.
Room had twin beds for king singles very tiny. Very comfy good mattress as for Donna's ?. Plenty of tea and coffee, fridge ok. Black out curtains. A large walk-in shower. Breakfast was good even though you had to walk outside to access the restaurant. We ate in the restaurant two nights, and the second night was ok for cocktails, but the entree was not good, very soggy. We visited the Duck Pub for lunch. Turn left a short walk.
A treat for kids is the lolly shop. A few Cafes close early.
Outstanding staff
Going outside in the rain to access ths dining room
Didn't have breakfast. Great location
The bathroom was for wheelchair access, hence hand towel and shelving was positioned at lower level. We didn'tbook a room with these facilities.
The fridge was turned off and bottom of fridge was full of water .
The pool was not clean.
Need clear signage showing floor level and exits. Frustrating and challenging for guests.
Clean room, courteous staff, good facilities
The parking is a bit of a hike from the room
We really liked the idea of seeing a new town we had not visited before and supporting a community - one who rebuilt itself after such a disaster.
We also liked the idea of a pool (even though it is actually quite cold, small and not maintained with leaves in it), the gym (also small), the sauna, the tennis court and walk to other restaurants.
We complained about the noisy fridge in our room that made it hard to relax or sleep, and even after we mentioned it, nothing was apparently done, and no one followed up.l to tell us if the looked at it. At checkout, the receptionist told me they get this feedback a fair bit and I should have unplugged it.
There was rubbish left at the pool which isn’t a great look.
The most frustrating part was the restaurant on our last night. We arrived at 6:57pm expecting to have dinner like we had at the start of our stay, only to be told it had closed at 6:45pm. Incredibly early - when we checked in we were told 8pm.
Apparently we were meant to notice a tiny sign at reception. Whats worse, we were at the restaurant 1 hour earlier with no clear signs.
We were then told to go find somewhere else… in a town where there was one other option.
And seeing the chef at the pub wasn’t great. When I complained, it's clear this chef is a know issue based on her reaction.
For a brand like Accor, which talks so much about hospitality and guest experience, this felt completely off. There was just no sense of care or awareness from the staff. Joy in hospitality is everything, and it was missing at almost all levels.
This isn’t just a booking to us but it seems that it is all that is cared for. For us, it was a family holiday, and the people who help bring the holiday to life are everything.
Based on this experience, I’d suggest choosing elsewhere.
Truth is, this place is disappointing.
We travel a lot, and honestly this was a really disappointing stay — especially on the last night.

But… the service 🥺🥺🥺
