Very comfortable stay in Morgan’s main hotel, the room was large and comfortable, nice bathroom with bath and separate shower.
The staff were all very friendly and breakfast was excellent with a good variety, I enjoyed the Welsh breakfast with cockles and lava bread.
Location is good foe walking access to city centre and easy driving to the coastal areas.
As always lovely rooms and great breakfast
Great location
Just wish they offered a cheeseboard or charcuterie board in the evening g
Excellent rooms staff throughout the hotel in particular Melanie/Aaron made it a very easy enjoyable….will definitely be back
Nice central location, easy walking to town and nearby marina area. Staff are really friendly and helpful.
Being a very old listed building it is showing signs of wear and tear since its last refurbishment, but it was still clean and comfortable.
Great city central location - with a 2 minute walk to Wind Street. Easy and accessible route to hotel.
Nice calm atmosphere, charming and lovely character to the building, although some areas looked run down/worn, carpets could do with a clean/change.
We booked a suite which was absolutely stunning, a very large room, however it was extremely cold on arrival and took several hours at 30°c to warm up & with all curtains closed as windows & stone surrounds were very cold. 4 Poster Bed was comfortable, however, the positioning of the bed & TV meant we couldn't really watch TV without one of the posts partially blocking the TV. The cabinet housing the TV was also not inkeeping with the room, but did have a mini bar complimentary fridge, which we didn't expect - the mini bar was great, but only had 1 of each item, so everything was shared between 2 of us. No bottle opener in room, but rung reception and was brought one within a few minutes. Again, there was only 1 x wine glass available.
For a suite we did expect some where to eat breakfast but the table was tiny and just about held the dessert plate we had on arrival (which was complimentary and a nice touch).
Unfortunately, our stay was on a Sunday so no food was available to be purchased in the evening, receptionist was lovely and told us of eateries available in the area that provide discounts and complimentary items to guests of the hotel. She also informed us that should we want to order food in, that the hotel could supply crockery for us to use.
Extensive breakfast menu that was included in our stay, we pre-ordered and paid a £5 tray fee on arrival for room service. The breakfast arrived promptly at 9.30am as requested. No complaints with the breakfast! It was warm and everything cooked well.
Parking directly outside the entrance of the hotel was £5 for 24hrs.
There was various options of tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room. With a kettle & coffee pod machine available! There was a safe in the wardrobe too.
Bathroom looked a bit run down and less 'grand' for a suite, but was very clean.
Unfortunately, I was extremely unwell during our stay so was unable to enjoy as much as we'd hoped, but was nice to cwtch in the large comfy bed!
There was a loud noise coming from below the room, which sounded like a boiler firing or something, but couldn't pin point this? Woke us in the middle of the night. It may have been the fan heaters?
Overall, had I not been unwell woild have enjoyed the stay a lot more. 1 or 2 very minor 'bad' points mentioned, overall would stay again. Staff extremely friendly & helpful, siite itself was immaculately clean, reception, hallways, stairs area could do with updating. Overall, extremely beautiful hotel!
Would have liked option to dine in the hotel or room service.
Beautiful hotel, my room was stunning very comfortable large bed with fabulous pillows! Tea and coffee in the to with two bottles of water. Bar area was lovely o was alone sat and read my book feeling very comfortable.
If I had to say something I’d prefer a little more light in the room but otherwise nothing all great!
Lovely hotel, the room was fabulous - Deluxe Room which we were upgraded to - breakfast is served and is of high quality. Good value.
Me and my wife had a fantastic stay. The room was immaculate, the breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
We went to Swansea to see the Johns's Boys in concert. We stayed in Morgan's Hotel and really enjoyed it The room was fine and the Receptionist extremely supportive in every sense. Just a little concerned at breakfast when our porridge arrived and our Welsh breakfast also arrived simultaneously. We asked for a delay with the WB but the poor waitress returned because the Chef was working on his own agenda. We didn't take our concerns any further but it unfortunate.
Lovely hotel and very attentive staff - we have stayed many times before. Breakfast was great and so much to choose from whether fresh or cooked. Bar - super drinks and a nice chilled vibe. We stayed on a Sunday half price deal and only one night. Our room - Broughton very quiet that we wanted was small. Beautifully large bathroom with Molton Brown products and fluffy towels. The downside was the bed very lumpy and uncomfortable. The room was cold and the heating system clattered away. Also we could hear other guests in the throes of passion - tbh the lady was pretty vocal! Maybe a bit of soundproofing would help?!
Staff were exceptional 😀 very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and fab quality. Location was superb and close to everything
The beds were awful!!! Far too soft.. on out first night my side had no springs in the middle so very little sleep - they did move to another room for our 2nd night but again mattress so soft so little sleep again.. Also we stayed in the townhouse bit which was quite noisy
Excellent stay as usual very come.
It's got to be our 20th stay, think we've stayed in almost every room, impeccable cleanliness, beds are like sleeping on a cloud, fabulous staff, best location for shops & nightlife, I wouldn't stay anywhere else, celebrated my 60th & staff kindly left chocolate brownies decorated slate & a card, such a lovely personal touch, thank you so much guys, we'll see you soon. X
Great location, great breakfast
Hard to say as I wasn't actually accommodated in the hotel but put in a room in a house across the street. Bath was good. Bed was large.
Wasn't actually put in the hotel but in a room in a separate building across the street. On entry you're met by a door leading to a disused cellar! Bedroom is at ground level on a busy street corner so you have the pleasure of plenty of noisy people walking past and chatting and the glass doesn't keep the noise out. There appears to be a room above this but accessed from a different entry. There's no soundproofing so you hear every footstep, flush and fart from those above, throughout the night.. Floor is bare wood and quite cold - a deathtrap if you have wet feet from the bath. The world's smallest table accommodates coffee machine and accompaniments leaving you enough space to perch a laptop on but not enough room to have your hands on there at the same time. Bit of a disappointment really as I had hoped to stay in Morgan's Hotel, not a gaff next door. Bit like visiting St Paul's Cathedral but actually being given a tour of a small chapel across the road!
Live quite close, love this hotel always stay if we come to Swansea for a show or short break. Absolutely brilliant location for a stroll across the front, visiting Swansea town and the marina.
