Recommend - I would say otherwise!
Pros:

Excellent location, welcoming, clean & I’d recommend for stone town location. Stone town can be a bit of a shock on the senses (it was for me) and being on the edge was perfect.

No alcohol at hotel and you need to know that before you book!
Pros:

You can continue to use the pools, etc after check out and then they have an excellent changing room with shower, hair dryer etc that you can use before leaving for your flight. Location is perfect (if you don't mind a busy beach) as can walk into Stone Town and do boat trips easily.

Cons:

This is a DRY hotel, no alcohol is served, and nowhere is that stated in the hotel's description on Booking.com. The access to boats to take you to Prison Island is amazing as they are just in front of the hotel but this means there is no way to swim from the beach in front of the hotel as it is full of boats and then touts on the beach. The lunchtime service in the restaurant was so slow we never used it again after the first time. The design of the showers looks amazing but with no shower screen or curtain the water floods the bathroom floor.

İlk gün bana verdikleri oda otelden 100 metre uzakta ek bina üçüncü katta merdiven le çıkıyorsun, dizimi gösterdim yine de beni oraya gönderdiler kabul etmedim havuzun yanında bir oda verdiler gürültüden uyumuyor birinci gece rezaletti ikinci gece istediğim odayı verdiler zaten bir daha da kalmadım.

Personelin hiçbirini beğenmedim, acaba benden gıcık kaptılar ondan diye mi dışarıdan kontrol ettim kimseye gülmüyorlar o da her şeyi berbat ediyor.

Très bon hôtel idéalement situé
Pros:

Très central, tout se fait à pied. Le personnel est très sympa et l’ambiance calme et familiale. Les piscines sont très propres. Les appartements de la maison Freddie Mercury sont simples mais parfaits pour une famille. Les douches ont de l’eau chaude et un bon débit, parfait après une journée d’exploration de la ville. Asante Sana!

Se trata de una mansión antigua reconvertida en hotel . Las habitaciones son amplias , de estilo y mobiliario antiguo . Tres piscinas . Acceso directo a la playa . Desayuno buffet muy variado . Localización perfecta

Cons:

Mi habitación daba a la calle en la primera planta y al ser las ventanas antiguas se oía todo . Hay unas cortinas de terciopelo granate pero debería haber también un visillo para dejar q entre la luz y no te vean desde fuera .

Lovely for a short stay in Stone Town, be sure to book a room in the main beachfront property.
Pros:

Th location of the main hotel was beautiful. Beach facing rooms have an amazing view. Excellent spot from which to explore Stone Town. We stayed for two nights before moving to a resort. A real authentic experience.

Cons:

The hotel is not clear online that there are separate buildings. We booked 2x Triple rooms and one double room. The triple rooms were located in the main building which was lovely. Unfortunately the double room was in another building down an alleyway and on the 4th or 5th floor. This room was for my parents who are older and could not be walking up and down multiple times a day. After one night they were moved to a room in the main building, however it was a very disruptive and negative start to the trip. Would have appreciated if it was more clear that the room was on a high floor and not in the main hotel building. I would have booked differently.

Smukt og fantastisk hotel centralt i Stone Town
Pros:

Perfekt beliggenhed. Smukt hotel med flotte farvede ruder, lækker indretning, dejlige værelser og skønne pools - en mellem bygningerne og to roof top infinity pools. Virkelig fantastisk personale, meget hjælpsomme! Maden var lækker.

Wifi fungerede kun sjældent
