The location is great and courtyard is lovely. The rooms were spacious and had a great little fridge and safe. They had a nice complementary wine and cheese hour each night.

Cons:

It was hot in the room and the AC clicks on regularly to compensate but it’s very loud and doesn’t stay on long enough to make a huge difference.

There was continental breakfast but the only hot food was powdered or boiled eggs.

Historic elegance in the heart of city
Pros:

Perfect location, central to everything. Comfortable room, exceptionally friendly staff.

We had a problem with the AC in our room; it was dealt with immediately.

We made regular use of the water filling station, and the lovely courtyard.

Pros:

The hotel was in a great location, and the room was a good size. The car park wasn’t too far from the hotel, and it was convenient enough to drop luggage at the hotel then drive to the car park. The happy hour/free cookies were a nice touch.

Cons:

We were quite disappointed by the breakfast at the hotel, which had quite limited options (even for a continental breakfast). The staff seemed less welcoming than others we’d encountered during our trip, and like others have said, the construction work was noisy from 7am onwards (though of course that’s absolutely no fault of the hotel!). If we returned to Charleston, we’d probably choose a different hotel in the same price bracket, as this felt overpriced for what it was.

Pleasant and comfortable stay, walkable to many sites of interest and restaurants. Staff was great!
Pros:

Location, breakfast and cleanliness were good. The staff was great! Very efficient, responsive and friendly. They had a nice happy hour every evening which was very nice.

Cons:

The AC in our room was loud and we used ear plugs.

Convenient location but there are better options in Charleston for the price.

Cons:

Shower has a half door so bathroom floor was flooded. Had a small private balcony but no furniture and wood railing was rotted and seemed extremely unsafe. Checkout was at Noon yet housekeeping was pounding at the door at 9am (no communication on what rooms are ready to be changed over)

Very nice stay.
Pros:

Location was great...very close to the market and within walking distance to many stores on Meeting Street and King Street.

Cons:

Construction next door (I know it's temporary) but it was very noisy in the mornings. Offsite location for parking and $25/day fee not included.

We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Pros:

Most of the tours we wanted to do were close to the hotel. There were ample good restaurants that were close as well as good shopping close by. We enjoyed the large breakfasts and the evening wine and charcuterie very much. The staff was very friendly and personable and quick to help. The beds were comfortable.

Cons:

The air conditioning unit was very loud.

Pros:

Lovely experience! I love this hotel so much and it has such a beautiful Charleston feel! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially ig you are looking for something in the French Quarter.
