Heavenly ryokan on Japan’s Izu Peninsula
Pros:

Amazing ryokan experience. Staff went over and above to cater to every need. The accommodation was comfortable sleeping on futons on tatami mats. The beautiful robes they provided made us feel at home. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. They even provided us bento boxes for lunch. View of the ocean outstanding and the hot springs wonderful. We’ll be back!

建物自体は新しくはないが、綺麗で清潔。
食事や温泉も素晴しく至れり尽くせりのサービスが受けられる。
お部屋にあるコーヒーがコーヒー豆から入れる様になっていて旅館の細かい拘りを感じた、吉祥カレンで頂いたコーヒーはどれも格別に美味しかった。
また行きたくなる旅館です。

レストランスタッフの気配りは超一流でした。お部屋からの眺望も素晴らしい。アフタヌーンティサービス、そしてお部屋で自分でコーヒー豆を引いてブレンドコーヒーを飲める所、私は初めてでした。

１月２日に宿泊したのに、12月31日と書いてあるお品書きを堂々と出していて驚きました。部屋のお風呂を使う人がほとんどいないのでしょうが、汚くて入る気がしませんでした。
湯上がり処に担当スタッフがいるのに、カウンターに使用済のグラスや食器が放置されお客が来ても知らんぷり。追加のトコロテンを持って来た同僚に「お客がめちゃくちゃ来た〜」ととても迷惑そうに言っていて不快でした。トコロテンを持って来たスタッフさんは「冷えたのをどうぞ」と勧めてくれて感じ良かったです。
夕刻に風呂に行くと、露天風呂が真っ暗で足元が危なくて入れませんでした。夜は電気が点いていたので、付け忘れだったようです。
セブ島出身のスタッフさんがホスピタリティがあって良かったです。
ロケーションは良いのに残念な宿でした。

全体的に満足、ただ夜中の停電に辟易。
Pros:

スタッフの丁寧な対応ときれいな言葉遣い、様々なサービス、清潔で行き届いたお部屋やインテリア、そして気持ちのいい温泉、と大変満足した滞在でした。お料理はもっと素材の味を生かしたシンプルなものでもいいかなと思いましたが、地元の素材をふんだんに使っている点は良かったです。ひとつだけ残念だったのは、夜中に突然大きな音が聞こえ始め、たぶん発電機の音だと思いますが、2~3時間続き、あまり眠れなかったことです。その間は電気もつかず、不便でした。朝になっても特別説明がなかったのですが、もし非常事態だったのなら、説明があっても良かったかと思います。

満足してます。ただ1点だけ。朝食のジャムが共用と言われたこと。３名利用で2セットだったのは用意もれじゃないかと思ったけど、うち１セットは２人で共用と言うので従いましたが、あれは１人１セット用意すべきでは？と感じました。

行き届いたサービスに感動しました。到着後のパンケーキ、手ぶらでタオルも持たず温泉に行けること、前日予約して誕生日サプライズをお願いしたにも関わらず快く対応してくださったこと、夜食のおやつとお酒、風呂上がりのいっぱいなどサービスがとてもよかったです。最後のお会計の男性の方が愛想がないのが残念でしたが…
