The Shallows Resort

Great place and a view that cannot be beat. Perfect for little getaway this past weekend. Already thinking about when we can return.

Had great view of water from balcony. Also plenty of comfortable seating for sunset views. Had a room with mini frig, microwave and coffeemaker.

The location was a bit remote. The staff and view were excellent and the room ok. Did not use; so cannot rate housekeeping. Don’t over expect on breakfast, it’s coffee and tea, orange juice and pastry only. With that said, we would be inclined to maybe stay again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We have always stayed on the other side and booked Egg Harbor this trip .This quant resort was just lovely. Fresh rolls and coffee in the morning and fresh towels if needed. Great sunsets and fire pits. Friendly staff. We will be back.

The Shallows Resort was nice and quiet, located near the bay. Picturesque. The room was comfortable, especially the bed. All appeared clean, however the room did have a musty smell throughout our entire stay.

Nice and clean place. Next to the water with bon fire pits to sit and watch the sunset. Convenient gas grills near the rooms.

Beautiful place to stay. Its a little off the beaten path so is quiet. Our accommodations were awesome.

I liked the fire pit at the bay side for the guests. I liked the very personable staff. The room was very nice and clean. The fresh coffee in the gathering room was nice. The warm cinnamon donuts were okay.

We love that this property is right on the water, it's also quiet. We didn't care for the morning breakfast of a cinnamon bun loaded with icing, since we are both diabetics, however it was nice that they offered something. Would have wished for more variety.

Wonderful resort directly on the bay.

Charming lakefront property, well maintained. We could enjoy a water view from our balcony, and had delightful visits with other guests around the fire pit during the evenings. Two comfortable chairs in our room were appreciated, along with complimentary breakfast rolls and coffee in the morning. We will return to the Shalllows!

Nice place, smokers not welcome, had to go to the road to smoke, otherwise, nice place. Office didnt open until 9 and door lock broke. Locked out and didn't like us going to maim house.

Nice place with fantastic lake views. Staff was great, and the place was clean.

This hotel is truly a hidden gem of a resort. We were fortunate to get the last room for our time schedule so we could not get a balcony but that really did not matter. This resort has wonderful outdoor space, waterfront seating, relaxing views, campfires, and so much more. Free canoes, 2-person and individual kayaks are free. Bikes are free to use.

The hosts are gracious and always making sure we were comfortable. The maids arrived early to swap out towels and offer supplies. They do not clean rooms daily which is fine, but they make sure you have all clean linens.


There is no breakfast but the host serves up wonderful cinnamon rolls, juice, coffee and tea. You simply have to come and enjoy the resort, the pool, and the hot tub. Swimming is not inviting at the waterfront but the Egg Harbor beach is just a mile away.

Truly a great resort!

We really enjoyed this resort. We love to go exploring during the day so it was a great home base to come back to at night to swim, relax and enjoy the views. Loved the additional amenities of shuffleboard, basketball, bikes and kayaks. The kids especially loved Charlie!

The Shallows was so peaceful, clean and right on the lake. The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating.
