Staff were very accommodating.
Breakfast was excellent, room was clean and modern, everything we needed.
Great touch for our pooch, water bowl and biscuits
Thank you.
There was nothing I didn't like
Food was great -breakfast + bar food + evening meal all good
Staff very friendly and helpful
Decided to stay extra day -hotel able to let us stay in same room after juggling + discount given
Holiday was a 70th birthday trip to see Spinnaker Tower + unplanned bonus trip on hovercraft to Isle of Wight (stayed extra day for this )
Everything was great
Only disappointment was Cloud Cafe in Spinnaker Tower was closed all day for private event.
I have stayed here few times and like the Queens for its location, facilities and the fact that it's a proper hotel with professional staff.
This time I made a mistake with my booking and had booked & paid for a single room, which is never my preference. When I asked reception if they were full they immediately offerred me another room. In each case the rooms were beatuifully prepared, obviously clean, as you'd expect. My room was excellent, an obvious upgrade.
Nothing.
Room overlooked road whereas some overlooked the sea for same price.
When busy serving main course could be slow, coffee one cup quickly needed to ask for second
Location walk to Southsea Beach, Hovercraft, Castle DDay exhibition and bus to Hard just outside hotel door. Parking good and free
steps upto front door were steep and no obvious alternative.
was ok
small
Beautiful hotel with lovely gardens opposite the beach
Didn’t have a sea view

Thank you guys
Felt car could be more secure
Excellent staff, reception and breakfast welcome and attentive.
The staff, very helpful, friendly, it had all I required, soft white towels, nice walk to the local attractions
The noisy fan in bath room , I know why there was ear plugs , my room no view, would like to suggest paint the wall will a picture.
The staff were very welcoming and breakfast was delicious
Large room, large comfortable bed.
Needs a better shelf for toiletries in the Bathroom.
The Queen’s Hotel is a lovely old building with a lot of character. The foyer is stunning, and the bar and restaurant areas are equally impressive, with a real sense of history and grandeur.
Our room was a good size and the bathroom looked fairly new, which was a pleasant surprise. The bed was slightly soft for my liking, but that is very subjective and others may find it perfectly comfortable.
The lift must be one of the slowest in the country, so patience is required.
The main issue was the heat. The room was far too hot, and the radiators in the hallway appeared to be on full blast all day and night. It was so stifling that staff had opened the hallway windows just to make the area bearable. Even with our bedroom window wide open, the room remained uncomfortable.
The hotel clearly knows this is an issue, as there were two fans provided in the wardrobe, but that feels more like a workaround than a solution. Thermostatic radiator valves or some form of better heating control would make a huge difference.
Staff was friendly, polite, had appropriate answers to questions and requests. Beautiful historical building, there is space to sit, read and chat outside rooms. Nice and gentle back ground music. Walkable distance to Gunwharf Quay and extra discount with the stay was a surprising bonus. Discount on HMS Victory ticket was also good.
A part of shower was broken. Shower itself was working okay but it was shame to see a broken part in a not cheap hotel.
The room was very comfortable, it did have a balcony. The view was towards the sea. I liked the walk in shower it was roomy with good water pressure.
Small negative, the step in the bathroom needed to be more obvious. Even if it detracted from the look of the bathroom.
Good location to nearby attractions and the water. Great afternoon tea and pastries. Restaurant was quite good.
Being a historic building the bathrooms are on the small side.
