Resort is so beautiful, staff are helpful. We stayed during the peak season , almost foreigner. Location is in the center a lot of restaurant and tourist spot like Kai bae beach. We will be back again
The pool is a highlight, perfect for sunsets. Although the beach is rocky, the pool area is beautiful and well-maintained. Facilities support both leisure and business travelers, offering a relaxing island atmosphere.
Rooms are spacious, clean, and well-designed with comfortable beds. Most have balconies with either pool or sea views. Bathrooms are large and equipped with rain showers. The design is modern, combining minimalism with Thai touches
Staff are the best
Staff are the best
Staff are repeatedly praised for being friendly, attentive, and efficient. They are responsive to issues, providing excellent service. The front desk staff speak good English and are helpful with recommendations and requests.
GREAT LOCATION!
The hotel is centrally located on Koh Chang with easy access to Kai Bae Beach, restaurants, shops, and 7-Elevens. It's a perfect middle point on the island, offering both relaxation and convenience. The surroundings provide a peaceful, relaxing vibe, ideal for unwinding.
The highlight was the friendliness of one of the resort's employees. My wife and I thank Mr. Heng for all his kindness and courtesy. It's rare to find such a kind employee in a hotel or resort, and I hope that AWA Resort reads this review and keeps him on board, because he is worth his weight in gold!
Thank you so much for everything, Mr. Heng, and we wish you all the best for the future.
Kind regards, The Kumbaric Family
The hotel has a beautifully designed entrance that feels like an art museum. It’s in a very central location with many good restaurants nearby, yet remains quiet and relaxing. Our spacious room had a lovely sea view and sunset. The large pool is great for swimming. Breakfast is good, though a wider selection of fresh fruit would be nice. Overall, a beautiful and peaceful place to stay.
Beautiful design hotel in the center of Mae Bay. Direct access to the beach and it also has a great pool. It has multiple stylish elements. Rooms are nicely decorated and the bed was in one word: fantastic.
And most important: all members of the staff are very friendly and helpful. They are constantly concerned with your wellbeing. i would like to give them ALL a big compliment for their service and also especially Mr Heng for always trying to keep you satisfied, for the best cocktails he make and the unbelievable fire show he does too.
A nice well laid out resort. Clean and tidy. We stayed 7 nights and had a large deluxe room overlooking the pool with a balcony.
The resort is centrally located with easy walking distance to all the local shops and eateries.
The price for the room rate was approximately 1400 baht per night which I thought was responsible.
The breakfast was only average and lacked variety compared to a number of other resorts I have stayed at.
It wasn't a problem for us. But just be Just be aware that there is no beach.
But overall I would recommend the Awa resort.
The room is clean. The staff provides good service and is friendly.Friendly, close to restaurants, quiet, good view (^.^)(^-^)
We always stay at this hotel. It is very cozy and comfortable. The staff is very responsive and attentive. We especially love the hotel because it is very quiet, just right for relaxing after a hard day at work. In the evenings, the hotel has live music and fire shows hosted by Han. The general manager of the hotel walks around the area every day and talks to guests about comfort and quality.
A lovely hotel in the middle of Kae Bae Beach on Koh Chang. Lots of restaurants, bars, shopping, and massage shops all within easy walking distance. The hotel itself is great, with most (all?) rooms facing a gorgeous pool, or out towards the sea. My room was nice and large, with a great balcony that was great to sit on, or even lie down on a large sun bed. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. And be sure to take advantage of the restaurant’s happy hour (which lasted something like 6-7 hours!), with a long list of cocktails to choose from…
If said in one word it’s outstanding. By far one of the finest resorts with amazing facilities. A beautiful pool with an awesome view, the rooms are just perfect and maintained superbly. Last but not the least the service, the staff are way beyond expectations the quality of service excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful with a smile. I would like to thank specially Khun Jane who is behind all of these amazing services the hotel has to offer. This would be our permanent stay anytime we come
After my stay at The Dewa, I continued my trip at AWA Resort, Koh Chang, which I was told is a sister hotel of The Dewa.
The decoration of AWA Resort is very unique and feels completely different compared to The Dewa. While The Dewa has a more tropical and artistic vibe, AWA gives the impression of a modern Bangkok-style hotel — but with the amazing atmosphere of being right next to the sea.
One of the highlights here is the long swimming pool located at the heart of the hotel, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view.
The breakfast is also impressive, offering a mix of American and Asian dishes. The best part for me was the pastry — their bakery is absolutely delicious.
My Deluxe Pool View Room was fabulous, with a spacious layout of about 54 sq.m., making the stay very comfortable.
I also had dinner at the hotel and ordered a Thai-style pasta, which turned out to be very tasty and well-prepared.
Overall, AWA Resort offers a unique experience with a different vibe from The Dewa but equally enjoyable in its own way.
Nice sea view room with great view .very good swimming pool , decent breakfast all in all we enjoyed our stay .
We stayed in a Suite Room on the top floor, right in front of the beach—and it was amazing!
We’ve stayed at many hotels around Thailand, and Awa didn’t disappoint at all. It was a perfect spot for my husband’s birthday. Everything felt just right, with so much care and attention to detail.
Our room was beautiful and spacious, with a big balcony that made it feel even more luxurious. The view was stunning, and the whole place was so peaceful and quiet.
We had a truly special stay—can’t wait to come back!
We only stayed for 2 nights, but really enjoyed it. The staff were lovely, and the swimming pool was beautiful! If you like to do long laps—like 50 meters—this pool is a great choice.
We missed breakfast because we woke up late, but we did grab coffee at the café just outside the hotel (Fig Cafe). It was seriously good—probably the best coffee I’ve had during my 3-week trip in Thailand.
Totally loved Fig Cafe too!
We had such a great stay during our recent visit! The hotel has a unique design with beautiful oriental-style architecture and a nice minimal vibe. We took tons of great photos!
The staff were super friendly and really helpful throughout our stay.
The location is perfect—right in the heart of Kai Bae. I’d definitely recommend booking the Suite Room if you get the chance!
We had a great dinner! The green curry with chicken, deep-fried seabass, chicken with cashew nuts, and tuna salad were all super tasty.
Big thanks to the staff for the excellent service—really appreciated it.
Hope to come back again next time we’re in Koh Chang!
I stayed here for one night and really loved it. The hotel is right by the sea, in a great spot with lots of interesting places nearby. You can even walk to the Elephant Sanctuary at Kai Bae, the Viewpoint, and Klong Plu Waterfall.
The room was super comfortable, and soaking in the bathtub after a long day of exploring was just perfect.
Dinner at On The Sala restaurant was also a great experience—highly recommend it!
