Great location, excellent room.

Cons:

They have degraded the amenity of the club lounge significantly. Breakfast is no longer served there, meaning that those who have paid for club lounge now have to queue with the crowds downstairs for breakfast - eating ing a noisy, busy space with hundreds of others, rather than the quiet calm of the club lounge. This is a major negative and is likely to stop us from staying there again.

Excellent with expecting to the beds.

Cons:

The beds were to hard. We loved the place but I wouldn’t stay again due to the beds.
The staff tried layers of underlay but the were only down providing not comfort.

Unbeatable location
Pros:

The location is unbeatable, being right above Somerset MRT station. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were helpful and friendly. The rooftop pool had a fantastic view and the poolside bar served a great selection of drinks. It’s also nice to see sustainability measures being implemented, like provided a filtered water tap in each room rather than providing bottled water.

Pros:

Alles in Ordnung, Lage des Hotels ist Ideal, U-Bahn direkt erreichbar, Shopping Mal im Untergeschoß mit allem was man braucht, Zimmer sind praktisch, alles sauber, Personal nett und zuvorkommend. Den Pool am Dach konnten wir leider nicht nutzen!

Great hotel with excellent staff in a good location.
Pros:

Excellent location for what we wanted to do. Quiet and well appointed room. Had everything we needed.
Beulah ( on the front desk) went out of her way to help us and was able to resolve a problem we had. She has excellent people skills and is a very knowledgeable and likeable member of staff.

Cons:

There was very little we didn’t like but the only thing that could be improved is if the plates are hot on the buffet dinner table. By the time you have helped yourself to food and got back to your table the meal isn’t very hot.
Food was excellent though.

Very conveniently located, with direct access to the MRT. comfortable with good amenities.
Pros:

As first time guests we were very satisfied as we did not know what to expect. Location was very good and chosen from experience from previous visits to Singapore. Very safe area. There was direct access to the MRT Station.
Overall facilities were very good. Receptionists were very friendly and helpful, including those stationed on the Ground Floor entrance. Would definitely recommend the JEN Singapore by Shangri-La

Cons:

I had one complaint/concern. I had picked up on my Credit card a/c that the accommodation charge had been debited prior to arrival, which was one of the reservation conditions. However, on checking out, the Receptionist provided a statement, with the amount owing, reflecting the Accommodation charge + extras. I queried this and was adised that the initial charge + a debit for extras was purely a 'holding' charge and there would not be a double charge. However, this proved to be incorrect and was eventually resolved long after departing and after e-mail communiucation with the Hotel. I really don't approve of this method of debiting the Clients' credit card. It was eventually resolved but with much inconvenience to the customer.
