Nice beach font the resort very relaxing pool price is not expensive little bit far away from the center but very good for relaxing time ... i think it’s good for people who don’t like big city ..and looking for relaxing

I cant believe they are so many bad review here but it was great .. nice place not so nice location little bit far from the center but if you can drive with motorbike.. I think it will not be a proble anyway just was a good experience

I went there by accident i met the owner and she was so kind and then i decided to stay there for couple nice the pace worst the money and the view is amazing its very chilling i asked the owner about reviews she said.. many years ago no one took care good here but now i will take care here very good

I normally consult Tripadvisor before booking, but this time I was driving past and the resort looked great from the outside. I was delighted that they offered me a bungalow on the beach. The price seemed expensive, but I recently retired and having a beach house would be a special time for me.
I admit it was my mistake for not checking everything in the room, I paid dearly for this oversight.
The resort and its rooms are not cleaned properly or maintained at all. Okay so the floor was old but clean, you could take your shoes off. On closer inspection I found dirt, many dead insects on the window sills, dirty windows, discolored bathroom furniture. No big deal here, I can clean it myself as I paid half my holiday budget to stay here.
The main thing is that the air conditioners are very old and never serviced, in my room it was pumping warm air into a very hot room. I had a vision that my happy retirement would end early if I catch Legionnaires disease or something worse. Anyway it was impossible to stay in my room. The manager offered me another room for the night, similar problems there, I forfeit a nights sleep.
I had no choice but to leave the next day. The manager Ta was adamant that my rental contract was binding and there would be no refund. So I left this resort after one sleepless night with only my holiday money to find somewhere safe and clean to stay.
The tourist police in Thong Sala appeared interested in my case and they kindly accompanied me to see the hotel manager. After some conversation with her, I don’t understand Thai, but they said I could compromise with the hotel, I think meaning some or a little money back.
I declined to deal on this, I would regret that later as I will get nothing.
Anyway I continue complaining to all relevant authorities, let’s hope someone in this beautiful country will be sympathetic to my situation, apparently there are many more unhappy customers, many who felt cheated but did not use Tripadvisor to report. I have made reports to the following organisations:
Thailand tourist authority
Thailand tourism complaints hotline
My country’s embassy in Bangkok
Thailand department of public health.
I hope this information will save other people from holiday disaster. I would also like to hear from anyone else with a similar experience.

You can stay here for couple of days while you searching some another home, but no more. Place have many problems with water, AC, security. We have plans to rent the house here for 5 months but escaped after a week. And then we have problems to get money back.

Angenehme und ruhige Anlage, jedoch ohne Strand. Man kann zwar über ganz kleine Sandabschnitte ins Wasser, das ist aber nur knietief. Ansonsten gibt es nur Felsen als Kai gebaut um das Areal zu schützen. Es gab keine Zimmerreinigung, das Frühstück kann man sich klemmen und es gab auch kein gratis Mineralwasser, obwohl angegeben. Insgesamt sind die Bungalows alt, nie instand gesetzt und somit viel zu teuer für Thailand.

As the name suggests, this resort is right on the beach. The best part about this place is that it is widespread and one can enjoy peace and silence all through ones stay. A few families have taken the garden bungalows on rent and have been here for months. Water near the resort isn't deep and no strong currents , hence safe for children to swim. The resort also has a very inviting pool. Overall a good place for couples, families and anyone seeking solitude.

I paid for the honeymoon suite, but when we got there we were told the aircon had broken.
We were put in a lesser room with no discount.
The pool didn't look clean. The tv didn't work properly and there were no English speaking channels.
The beach was nice and was very sheltered- good for a young family.
You are definitely paying for the location and not the run down resort.

The only thing going for this place is the location right on the beach. I guess, great for children, as the water level into the bay is very low. Anyway, major bug bears are, no wifi in bungalows, rooms only get cleaned on request, and I didn't get a sheet change in a whole week. Not a single door opening working properly. Front door jams, bathroom door jams, cupboard doors not working. Crappy old square TV with one English movie channel from Macau, with a bit of Chinese thrown in about local Macau happenings if that rings your bell. If I wouldn't have paid for a week in advance I would have left after one night for sure. Still regretting what I paid, thinking how much nicer it could have been elsewhere for that amount of money. Stay away !

After a week at Watanna Resort we decided to extend our stay but unfortunately they were book on a few days that we wanted so we went next door to this resort. After some negotiations I managed to get a large AC room with TV, fridge, hot water ..no water view but hey, I only spent 1000 Baht per night which is way less than the posted price. The room is great and the resort has a nice pool overlooking the beach. As far as the service goes it is restrained at best. The GM is semi efficient when she is there and the staff acts as if it is a chore to answer any request. It was necessary for us to ask to have our room cleaned everyday and that usually took all of 5 minutes. We had to ask for clean towels and toilet paper. When the beds were made only the sheets were on the bed....the blanket was thrown in a heap on the floor. There is a restaurant on sight that NO ONE goes to because the prices are about double ever place else. Their price for rice is anywhere between 21/2 times the going price to 5 time the going price. Perhaps if they reviewed their prices they may do a bit more business.We stayed for two weeks and because of the price we paid I am not complaining but if I had paid full price I would be screaming at the top of my lungs.

Note: For good food at mainland prices stop in at Mr. F's Food....a small shack about 200 meters from entrance. They serve Issan food....roast chicken, roast pork and the usual suspects. Cheap and good!!

I should have read the TripAdvisor reviews on this place beforehand! Anyway, I chose this place based on them having TV. Most of the hotels along this stretch of beach do not have TV. What a joke! One english language station- the religious channel "The Word". The pool is filthy- unfiltered, untreated with palm tree leaves decaying in the bottom. The pool is used for scuba training and the water is cloudy, nearly green. Absolute garbage. At 8 pm the lights on the grounds are turned off- pitch black outside, I needed to use a flashlight to get from the parking area to the bungalow. The "restaraunt" is garbage and closed at 8 pm. The water coming from the bathroom sink is brown and there is barely enough water pressure from the shower head to rinse off. The aircon works..woohoo. The beach looks nice, but the water is knee deep for the first 200 feet. This place is a huge disappointment and most definitely a schamm. I do NOT recommend it. Don't be fooled into the "special discount rate" as I was.

The hotel and pool looked very welcoming and nice, right next to the beach in a relaxing area. However, we stayed in a bungalow and were robbed the first night as the windows were not locked yet the curtains were closed tight so we never thought to check. After explaining this to the members of staff, we had a lack of understanding, they clearly assumed we were accusing them of theft which was not the case. The next four days we received no room service, no fresh towels, no toilet paper - we had to collect all of this ourselves. We were tempted to leave, however, with the lack of funds following the theft we had no choice but to stay for the 4 remaining days. A shame as the location and pool was very nice.

I could write a whole story about what happened to us but listen to this: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND THE PEOPLE. They have only one thing in mind and that's your money! The rooms are very dirty and the furniture is broken. The pool is dirty and the manager and front desk lady are............. Believe me if I think that the positive reaction you read here are part of the scam. Don't go there stay away.
