Management are so rude.! Tried charging me a ridiculous amount because there was tan on sheets I explained Iv been wearing it for 20 years and it's wash on wash off tan so will wash off, the management started screaming at me trying to intimidate me as a girl and only stopped when my friend started recording them for my safety they said they had to throw away the sheets , towels dressing gowns etc which was all lies - DO NOT stay here ! No where near a 5star and I got a rash from the jacuzzi! Please read Google reviews (I wish I checked before) this is a common scam for them to get money from you!
I stayed here with my wife for a weekend. The check-in was smooth and our room was quite big and clean! The bathroom was luxurious and there is a bus stop right outside which made getting around pretty easy. There are a bunch of places to eat within walking distance but the hotel restaurant food is very good and we generally ate there. The ferrero rocher cake is my top pick for the dessert!
This hotel is absolutely not a 5-star property. At best, it would qualify as a 3-star. Do not waste your money. The photos are extremely misleading and not up-to-date.
This experience was disappointing from start to finish. Booking platforms should take greater responsibility in ensuring that hotel ratings genuinely reflect the standards being offered. The overall experience felt misleading and completely over-promised.
The decor throughout the hotel is tacky, tired, and cheap-looking. Nothing feels cohesive or thoughtfully designed — it’s random and extremely outdated throughout. Even if a room is technically clean, the poor/tired decor, worn old carpet etc makes it feel grubby.
Our bedroom was small, shabby, and overlooked a large yellow storage building. The lighting in the room was confusing and difficult to operate, random placed plug sockets (non by bedside tables). There was only instant coffee provided — no coffee machine, no biscuits, and none of the touches you would expect from a genuine 5-star establishment.
Security was virtually non-existent. Anyone could walk in off the street and access the lifts. There was no key fob system restricting access to floors, which is unacceptable for a hotel claiming this level of luxury.
The bar had no atmosphere, and the bartender was unfriendly. After using the spa, both my husband and son felt itchy, which was extremely concerning.
The location is also poor. You either spend a fortune on Ubers or walk around 20+ minutes to reach the nearest Tube station (alternatively, take a bus first). Hardly ideal.
Reception staff were polite enough, but noticeably tense — we overheard several other guests complaining about the misleading 5-star rating and overall standards.
What is most frustrating is that the hotel sets expectations extremely high with its apparent 5-star positioning, yet massively under-delivers. If it were honestly marketed as a 3-star hotel, expectations would be aligned and complaints would likely reduce.
We were asked not to leave a public review and instead email the hotel directly. I’m afraid that emailing privately does not inform future guests nor does it encourage the level of refurbishment or honest reclassification that is clearly needed.
Deeply disappointing experience. Rooms were dirty, health and safety standards were inadequate, and the level of service was not consistent with a 5-star hotel.
Great experience, room was large and accommodating and staff were very friendly and professional.
Not up to five star standard.. Have cruised many times the standard is much better. Put out breakfast menu ,for in room service on door at 11.00 pm this was not delivered , did'nt realise the menu was still on the door handle at 10.00am next day which was too late
Staff were very nice and helpful, lovely hotel would definitely go back there!
Good value for a 5 star hotel. Strange decor. Our room was almost too big, although there was nowhere to comfortably consume a room service meal. Little privacy due to the floor to ceiling windows. Room lighting was inadequate. Overall impression of the hotel and restaurant/bar was that it was uncared for and that it needed refurbishing.
I have to say I disagree with the previous review’s disappointment in the location. We travelled up as a group of friends last weekend and found the walk from the station quick and easy. There was a bus (170 I think?) that left the station at the same time as we did and on arrival at the hotel it was there at the same time! We also walked to Battersea from the hotel, which is another short and easy walk.
The hotel was clean and well kept. Staff were welcoming and helpful. We had 2 rooms, both overlooking the ‘valet parking lane’, but this was fine as we hadn’t paid for a view or planned to stay much in the room.
We used the spa facilities and restaurant and were pleased with both. The view whilst eating dinner was pleasant, even with the departure of the air ambulance next door! We were also most impressed with the price for a meal in London.
I’d certainly recommend this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if planning a trip into the city.
This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I'd had in a very long time. For a start the location, if you don't have a car, is seriously hard to get to. The information on both the website and the AI generated overview incorrectly states that the hotel provides a free shuttle service to and from Clapham Juntion (the nearest station to the hotel). It no longer does this. Nor is the hotel a 10 minute walk away. I am a fast walker and I had to give up and order an Uber. The hotel itself looks tired as you drive up to it and once inside the complex it is not easy to work out where the reception is as the restaurant and hotel itself is split between two buildings - not very pleasant if it's raining. The rooms themselves are spacious and mine had a view of the river, which was nice. But operating the light system was a nightmare. I think it's meant to be touch sensitive but I had to really press hard to get some of them to go on/off. The mattress on the bed appeared to be foam so that by the middle of the night I was sweating. The pillows were very hard and flat. It wasn't the best night's sleep I had - although I can't fault it for its quietness. I didn't get a chance to use the restaurant so can't comment on that; nor the gym or spa facilities. All in all, if it wasn't so hard to get to, I probably would have felt a little kinder in my view of it - but I cannot stress enough that without your own transport you will pay a small fortune either Ubering or using public transport getting there and back.
A great hotel and very convenient for the London Heliport
Clean and quiet with a lovely spa. Great for stay before exam at RAD which is 3 mins walk.
Upon arrival, staff were BEYOND helpful, caring. They made me feel like i was the only one there. The room was SPOTLESS, clean as if i was the first person to use it. They were funny, and made sure that my stay was a vacation. They offered to order my dinner and have it delivered. Only problem. Which was my error for not saying anything, was the air condition could of been cooler, but they stated they could've fixed that. Besides that, BEST stay. What impressed me the most was that it being the first ECO friendly Hotel in the UK. That right there was and will make me return back to this establishment. The surrounding area wasn't so safe, but that's something that they can't control. A short drive, literally 15-20 min drive, and your in the central area of shops, restaurants, and lots of parking and not far from Parliament Square and Buckingham Palace. As being a reviewer for multiple things, including food, hotels, movies, toys, etc.. I'm giving this Hotel an 👍 👍 A. EXCELLENT JOB....
This property is an excellent price point which is due to it being out of central London. But there are transport links directly outside the hotel that allows you to be within central London in 20minutes. Comfortable sleep and spacious modern rooms.
Came here for a one night stay for my anniversary and stayed in one of the suites. The room was very big with a large bed, sofa, cupboards, dining table and a big window with a view of the Thames. We also had a large bathroom with a hot tub, which was in my opinion, the main feature of the suite. There was also a helicopter pad on the left side which made an interesting watch. I would say the hotel was clean and front desk staff were friendly. There is a car park under the hotel and the hotel lobby was very quirky with lots of art and intriguing decor. I would not say this is not a 5 star hotel as it is looking very tired in places. Whilst our suite was spacious, the furniture looks old and in need of replacing the carpets were very tired looking. The dining table felt like it was on its last legs! The TV was very limited, with no access to smart tv and there were no toiletries provided as you would expect in a 5 star hotel. The restaurant was good and breakfast was very nice. The hotel is in quite a remote place but we managed to find a Tesco express within a 15 min walk. We had a great time but probably would not return unless it was renovated.
Very nice hotel and quiet area. Clean and well kept. Food choices were limited, but it was very interesting space.
Stayed here on 16 July for one night. Pleasantly surprised although the building is a bit of a mish-mash of hotel and apartments. My room was clean and opulent compared to what I expected. Quite large and comfortable. Gym was tucked away through a warren of corridors and behind some of unused bar (shades of the Shining). On the face of it the hotel is located smack bang on the Thames but honestly it is well away from the action and not served by an underground station, so not a great location for exploring London. I will say I had a meal in the restaurant and it was really good and decent value too. I may not stay there again but would definitely eat there. Only drawback (and my rating) is based on the staff who weren't particularly welcoming or helpful. Disappointing really.
This is not even remotely a 5 star hotel
Staff are sparse and reception is a weird conglomeration of random items.
Restaurant is basic at best with tired menus and furnishings.
Our room was a decent size but fixtures were tired and old.
Good air conditioning
Would never stay there again
By the way says on Trip Advisor it has a shuttle bus to the tube station
It doesn't
My advice avoid !!
The hotel has a classic style, but it’s showing its age — a bit tired around the edges. If we had planned a proper spa weekend, this probably wouldn’t have been our top choice. The pool and spa area exist, but feel worn and far from luxurious. When we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, which gave a good first impression. Unfortunately, that was where the service seemed to stop. The follow-up during the stay was minimal, and we didn’t quite feel looked after. Overall, not a bad place if you’re just looking for a base, but don’t expect full-on pampering or five-star standards
It’s just really hard to understand how this hotel received a 5-star warning…it just feels misleading.
