Sala Khaoyai

This place is incredibly beautiful, views are epic, staff are fantastic. Chef David did an amazing buffet for the wedding 10/10. Highly recommended. If you want a get away from BKK and to feel closer to nature in a luxurious setting then this is it.

We are so happy we chose this hotel to go to in the mountains of Thailand.

1) Not only is it deep in the mountains and we are surrounded by a beautiful view but

2) They are LGBTQ friendly and

3) The villa with our own pool was a BEAUTIFUL touch!! The staff is fantastic and so accommodating and sweet. Praer and her team are amazing!!!

Other thoughts:

1. The hotel is not disability friendly, so if you are not able-bodied, this would be a hard stay because getting to the rooms is 150 steps to get up to their restaurant and villas.

2. If you are vegan, there are no vegan options for breakfast but fruit. They do have green tofu curry for dinner, which is vegan-friendly and also a pasta dish! The restaurant is vegetarian friendly.

3. The drive is 3 hours from Bangkok so plan accordingly if you can't drive yourself. Bolt will get to you there from Bangkok but you will need to ask the hotel to arrange a ride back to Bangkok with an outside 3rd party. One way is about $70 USD and $70 USD back.

4. There is a night market that is about 45 minutes away from the villa, and there is a beautiful temple that you can hike to at the top of a mountain, but we didn't have the opportunity to do so.

5. If you check out TikTok there are a lot of fun activities to do in the area (there is a flower garden, a Tuscan village that looks like you are in Tuscany etc.)

Great place to resting time

Unique hilltop property with wonderful views of surrounding countryside. Excellent staff and fabulous food. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

This hotel was so relaxing and stunningly beautiful. Yes, it is away from everything and that’s exactly what we loved most. The views and peaceful solitude are definitely worth it!

Immediately upon arrival and a super easy checkin, we were offered a cool cloth and delicious juice. The friendly staff member escorted us to our gorgeous room and we were so impressed with the view we didn’t want to leave.

Eventually, we went to the incredible pool near the bar and swam as the sun was setting. Again, the view is spectacular! The restaurant and bar staff members were all very attentive and came over to ask if we’d like anything. We ordered a gin and tonic poolside and continued to swim while listening to the birds.

This was just our first day but it set the tone for our three day stay here and we loved every minute of our time. The restaurant is gorgeous and the food and cocktails are delicious.

The entire staff was highly attentive and very kind. We hope to visit again!

Don’t miss this hotel! It’s a wonderful experience.

P.S. Be sure to schedule an outdoor (private) Thai massage with the receptionist. The massage therapist are wonderful land very talented at determining where you need the most stretching and massage. They also provide you with a very comfortable set of loungewear so you are fully clothed and very comfortable.

Good vibes, high hygienic and comfortable atmosphere, highly recommended!

nice view but not enough staff to provide good services. Called service to our room took more than 40 minutes. We decided to call BKK office that no one pick up a call on-site. It is not worth spending costly with such lowest services.

Sala Khaoyai is as beautiful if not more so then what it appears on IG photos.The architecture is very well designed and many of the views are well framed. The pool design is great and brought out the beauty of Khao Yai. The service was very good. During my stay, there were 2 flies in my room. The housekeeper, though sassy, managed to remove the flies without having to use bug spray. That's dedication.

However, it is clear that if you are physically challenged, you might not be suitable for the cheaper suites, as you'll have to climb a flight of stair to get them. Also, you might have to tolerate a potential level of bugs in the room, after all, it is situated within the outdoors. I was horrified by some sort of brown spider moving around my room. But all in all, I had a great experience.

Staffs are good and well trained when I was there. It has a very nice sunset with cocktail and wine. Breakfast has good quality. I have a wonderful time staying in this resort and I will come back soon.

Great! place for a weekend gateway. Even though the weather is sunny during the day but over the evening it’s a breezy as it could be.

Locate in Khao Yai National Park, heading there might turn heads wondering if this road is it but once arrived the feeling is should have been here earlier.

Take your time to relax, ignore the busy city life, the need to be somebody and just spend time with a view and quietness.

Doesn’t matter your alone, couple, family’s and friends, it’s just good to be where you feel at peace.

Location is the best,nice decoration ! But worse service ever…20,000 baht per night with 3 pm check in …. 3.30 we still waiting for the room😅 , once we get the room ,the floor and curtain still wet 😅 to me it’s nice but not worth 20,000 B please reconsider your service standard

We came here for dinner after a recommendation from the famous chef Tony in Sala Phuket. This was our first time at Sala Khao Yai but we are regular guests at Sala Phuket so we had high expectations of the food..... We were not disappointed!
The service was just the same as Sala Phuket absolutely spot on. The staff were not intrusive but did everything they could to make sure we had a pleasant evening.

Every dish we ordered was full of flavor and tasted really fresh. You have to try the duck tacos if you visit this place! Even if you aren't eating and you just come for a drink.... order the duck tacos! The mussels were also delicious and my second favourite dish of the night.

The views in here are out of this world, definitely come for sunset if you get the chance. We had no idea how beautiful the rooms are at this place, on our next visit we will be booking a room and not just dinner.

We went to Sala Khao Yai to celebrate my birthday. The hotel is isolate on the hill. There are only 7 rooms provided which is very unique and suitable for peacefulness. Food here is delicious. For breakfast, it is included in the package. It is not a buffet but we can order in the menu. There are some different choices served in beautiful style. We had bbq on rooftop with spectacular view. When we checked out, we were impressive with one of the chef here. It’s heavy raining, we were about to leave. He came and told that we should wait for 10-15 minutes to let the fog went away. During waiting time, he served us desserts. Thank you so much for his kindness and service here.

We stayed at this hotel in October 2020. This hotel consists of only 7 rooms which mean it could fit only 7 families or couples. Very suitable for private vacation for such great escape from city chaos. Hotel is located up on the hill, so no problem with the wind all day. Breakfast is something special. It is a la crate buffet that you could eat all you could fit into stomach. Taste is good for sure. We also had dinner here and it was awesome.

We have been to Kao Yai multiple times in the past and stayed in many nice hotels, but this one is the best. Elegant without bling bling, situated on the top of the hill with a 360 degrees view of the area and of the national park. The villas are decorated and furnished with a lot of taste for aesthetic, they are spacious inside and have a beautiful private garden to relax and enjoy the view and the fresh breeze. The staff is super-nice and efficient. Breakfast are delicious. There is no gym but the pool and the greenery in the surrounding give a lot of opportunity to exercise. We will come back soon!

And room was big comfortable and really wow terrace view we had a beautiful sunset dinner would highly recommend it.

Very peaceful and great view. The best we have seen in Khao Yai so far. There are only 3 room and 4 villas. Resort located on top of a small hill, a little bit far from all other places. But if you come here, you come for the view and the quite life. Breakfast was very good, you can order as much as you want from the menu. Presentation of the food was nice but taste could be better. We enjoyed our stay, will come back. The staffs are very helpful. Good service.
