The staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful roommates was clean.
I was very disappointed with my stay. Being woken up at 6am by an exercise class directly below my room was extremely frustrating. The music was incredibly loud, and the instructor was shouting throughout the session. On top of that, there were constant loud bangs from gym equipment being dropped on the floor.
This was not what I expected after paying a significant amount for the room. Guests should be able to rest without being disturbed so early in the morning. If I had wanted to wake up for a gym class, I would have signed up for one myself. If you’d like, I can also make it shorter and harsher (more typical of reviews) or more detailed so it has a bigger impact.
Nice and clean
We booked three hotel rooms on 28/02/26 as a family weekend . We used to go several times a year when they did good deals as the kids loved the pool but the service was always so poor, that eventually even a cheap deal could not tempt us.... however this year we decided to give it a try again and wish we had not.
We were seated in the bar area which was cold but told by the waitress that we could not be moved as the restaurant was fully booked, despite me booking days beforehand. As the evening progressed, the restaurant was certainly not full, not even busy. In fact it was so quiet that the waiting staff just stood about all evening chatting. It is now order at the bar or on the app so staff are hardly run off their feet.
After finishing our starters, the staff tried to put down our mains on the table. I had to point out that there was no room, as nothing had been cleared from our table of nine ie plates or glasses. Reluctantly, they took the empty plates, still leaving all the glasses. Two and a half hours later, our table still had not been cleared from our original glasses or mains plates (whilst the staff chatted away with each other). Not once were we asked how our meal was.
I then complained about our seating and the service and was told that actually it is difficult to put a large table in the restaurant. Why lie and say it was fully booked? After complaining, the waiters came and took away our plates but still did not clear the glasses on our overflowing table. We were also offered a refund of our breakfasts. Six days later,I am still awaiting my refund of £45 but to be fair to them , my brother received his refund within a couple of days. Three emails later to customer services and I am still awaiting a response. Its a lovely hotel but everyone instead to locally has the same views.... the service is appalling.

Been using this hotel for some years primarily due to its location. Seems to need some TLC to keep rooms in better condition.
Good facilities… pool, breakfasts, Starbucks.
We would highly recommend this hotel. A special mention to the bar/restaurant manager Michelle, who is a first-class professional and always looks after us. The hotel is located about 10 minutes' drive from Aberdeen Airport. It is very clean and there is gym & spa facilities to use.
Lousy beds and zero television anywhere in the hotel.
A 3 night business trip was made almost unbearable with terrible WiFi, no television service at all (not even in the bar where they heavily advertise and brag about being a sports bar with all major games on) and staff that really didnt seem bothered.
