They are holding 100 American Citizens hostage at his hotel. They have a Covid airport scam going. They imprision you there by force. Men with guns are keeping them hostage forcing them to pay money in disgusting rooms with mold some have no water. One person with malaria was forced to stay outside in the night.

This so-call convenient hotel is nothing but a scam.
They charge $85 per night but their WiFi doesn't work in certain rooms. You'll be literally crying your eyes out to wait until one web page loads.
I mean if you can't run a proper business then just don't.
But you cannot be ripping people off their hard-earned money and not provide quality service for them.

Building is old, the service for dinner and breakfast both was poor. The front desk people were great and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Training in food service is needed badly.

Great stay with lovely staff and secured environment. Would love to come back. Special thanks to Christian the waiter who served me throughout my stay. I was also happy to use their handy device in making business calls all at no cost at all

Best place for business.
Warm staff and great service. Handy phone was available and the unlimited calls is just amazing. My room was clean throughout .I enjoyed the food served especially the bank and tilapia which was well spiced with local seasoning. The fragrance at the lobby was so sweet and nice

the worst hotel experience I have had in my life. the place stinks. reeks rather. do not risk your life eating here. words fail me... Broken furniture, worn out carpets, damp in the walls and a atmosphere less pleasant than The Shining are probably the best this place has to offer

Been there for business and I would like to say "no comments" to avoid saying something about this hotel. Honestly, it’s a shame how this place is still open.
It looks like Shining movie hotel. Completely empty and scaring despite it could be exceptional considering the property. It do not deserve the money they ask.
I arrived few days before the other colleagues and was alone in the hotel. Around the hotel is impossible to find places to eat (it is a kind of residential area) so if you are alone and don’t want to take a taxi you are forced to order food at the hotel.
Despite the lack of customers, I have waited 1 hour to get a dish of food (boiled rice and a grilled fish) which came cold. Indeed, I underlined several times that I do not tolerate spicy/hot food, but the plain rice and fish were covered by a red super spicy/hot sauce that went everywhere. I was hungry and pregnant so I ate the cold and hot food trying to avoid to go on fire for the hot chili sauce.
Room service is the same... it takes ages, but at least you are in your room instead of an empty restaurant.
The worst happened one day when I came back to my room and found a strong chemical smell inside the room. I opened the door and window and waited about 20 minutes close to the window. My eyes started dropping and I felt really bad with nausea and hemicranias. Therefore, I decided to go to the front desk. They minimized saying it was just a product against insects and - as they did not trusted me-they sent an employee with me to check. When I opened the door and asked him to get in with me he just said, “No sorry I can’t” holding his nose close. Therefore, at the reception they asked me to leave the room giving me a downgraded one. I moved, but as I was still feeling bad and I was pregnant, I requested several times to provide me with the name/composition of the chemical used in the room in order to check with my gynecologist. After my insistent requests they provided me the composition of the product which was very toxic and forbidden in a huge number of countries. I received no excuses from anybody.
Never again, considering that there are places so nice in Accra

Looking imposant like the Pantheon on the Acropolos in Athen the in-house reality is quite different, with a regularly un-manned reception desk at the ground floor, non-functioning fridge in the room, very poor quality breakfast, squeeking doors, non-functioning swimming pool, and poor internet connection. A 'no-go' option based on my experience and especially for the price they as for. On the positive side, the hotel is located 20-30 min drive away from the airport (the travel time depends on the situatiuon of the traffic).

Stayed here on a business trip and sadly it is even more empty than 5 years ago when here last. the rooms were clean at least functioning but it cannot compensate for the empty feeling. The breakfast buffe was not upto standard : poor quality products, no butter/margarine for toast , no fruit no juice and extremely poor coffee.W e moved after one night.

A standard hotel with good etho and peaceful environment with courteous staff and very good restaurants on different floors, with swimming pool and exercise facilities. However, electric supply needs to be continuous and appliances need to be perfect working condition all the time for all the guests

This hotel is the rude and worst hotel i have ever been food appearance and everything is poor ... And besides my week stay was not satisfying fridges not working and also charging me with ironing in my room cux i used their bed for ironing which they said i demage the bed spread and i need to pay i have never been disgraced as been in a hotel never i will never advice non for holiday . it has a nice view but inside is horrible interms of management and everything

Room not worth what the price! My door card slotted was broken! I do not think I will pass in front of this Hotel again. I spent just 2 nights there after not having my internet although I paid for it. The breakfast was very poor selection, towels were worn out with ants in the rooms. The hotel needs a complete renovation as nothing worked there and the staff were unfriendly except the porters/waiters. I will rather sleep on a way side rather than go to this hotel. I was there years back and I did thought the standard was still good but I can write with confidence that this is the worse so far I have experienced. Staying at this place is even putting life in danger at night when there is no light. I wonder where they have the certificate to run as a hotel. All the same, thanks for taking that much money and putting me in a small room without internet and I was glad I fed there for the best at another location.

Excellent hotel. I stayed here for 06 days. Good ambiance , spacious rooms with tv programmes.Very friendly staff and one can have purely African cuisine. Really marvelous food. Excellent swimming pool with the facility of swimming instructors.

I first stayed in this hotel way back since 2002; as such this review may not in any way be the true reflection of things nowadays but it´s also nice for people to give an account of their experience too.
This hotel was certainly one the best if not the very best in Ghana then.
A colleague of mine and I stayed two weeks while waiting to be mobilized for a job offshore. The staffs were very nice to us. The rooms were well furnished with the items in the minibar ridiculously expensive. This hotel used to house government official, diplomats and Presidents from other countries visiting Ghana etc.
The restaurant made me love Ghanaian cuisines.
It´s so sad to see very unpleasant reviews about this same place that used to be classiest place to stay in just less than 15 years ago….African wake-up!!!

It looks beautiful, it have beautiful pool, big beautiful restaurant, gym, nice exterior... but rooms are very, very poor. I was there about 40 days, I changed 3 rooms and every one have the same problem. When you shower - all the water don't go to drain as you would think - it poured in your bathroom. Yes. After you take a bath you will stand in 2-3 cm of water that poured from your bathtub. Beds are big but mattresses are old and not so good. You can enter in room without a key, locks are poor. Hotel loose electrical power every now and then but hotel have it's own power supply (very, very loud) so if you're lucke to have your room very close to it - I hope you can sleep in such noise. Food is very good but service is just terrible. You can wait for an hour, sometimes even more just to see the waiter, then about half an hour up to hour and a half to see your food or drinks. In a bar near pool you can sometime wait for two hours, just to see the waiter. When you order drink - they probably don't have it cold (but in the restaurant, 30 m away they have it but who's gonna bring it from there???). Internet room have very slow internet but aditional problem is that sometimes you have to wait untill somenone get there, to pay him and to receive username and password to use it. Once I was waiting for almost two hours, after that I went to a local internet caffee. It was once great hotel, now it need big investments in interiour and better service. It cost much more than you get for your money.

The not so good - The hotel has an outdated feel about it. My first impression that it was probably built during colonial times and was subjected to facelifts over time. Getting around the place is a bit irritating. Especially the walk to the respective dining rooms especially if one is in the rooms on the other side of the dining area (hard to explain in the review). The Wifi was poor most of the time I stayed there. The shower was not exactly a refreshing experience (it didn't help that the light switch for the bathroom is so far from the bathroom itself).

My overhead fan had lights that couldn't be switched off, so for me who can't stand sleeping with the aircon on, my lights were on all night (Accra is hot and humid - some form of aircooling is needed to get a decent sleep).

The dining rooms have an air of an old boarding school. Not very chic. The service at Dinner was rather slow, and the one man manning the place was clearly overwhelmed.

The Good - It is close to the airport. The staff are friendly and helpful (a bit of bad - they were so helpful that the helped a garment salesperson call my room to market his ware). The breakfast was goodish. (I will ignore that they open one hour after the stipulated time).

Mplaza is a place that could do much better.

We got a good price but this hotel is past it's prime. The pool had floaties, and the Raid bug spray was still lingering very strongly in our rooms. The breakfast and service was excellent. Free shuttle to the airport and free wifi.

The hotel was okay, pleasant and friendly staff willing to assist. Buffet breakfast was however very limited. Shower pressure in the bathroom was disappointing but overall the rooms were comfortable. The wi-fi did not work throughout my stay. Hotel set in an expansive grounds with a standard gym. My overall experience was pleasant as the hotel neighbourhood was quiet and serene.

An old, shabby and overpriced hotel close to the airport in Accra. The staff are friendly but the service was poor. The service for an evening meal inn the 'silver service' restaraunt was slow and inefficient with the food average at best. The inclusive breakfast was again poor. Well overpriced and past its sellby date.

I received a reservation confirmation but when I arrived at the hotel at 11 PM I was told that the hotel was full. I and others were taken to a different hotel with dirty linen and no hot water. The following day they got me a room in the M Plaza hotel but one had to go outside the room to access the shower and toilet. On the third day I was given a room in the main complex. The room was decent but there was water leakage in the bathroom. I was told there was Wi-Fi but I couldnt access it in my room.
