Mandalay Picton House Hotel

We loved our stay at this remarkable hotel. I would suggest it to everybody thats looking for a inexpensive and good stay in the heart of london. The owner is very nice and courteous. He was giving us good recommendations for food and the overall experience in this amazing city.

We had a lovely afternoon tea here. Morgan and Bijan looked after us so well and made sure we had everything we needed. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and delicious food - variety of freshly made sandwiches on artisan bread, a selection of sweet treats and an amazing choice of teas! Perfect way to celebrate a birthday.

A lovely stay, staff are welcoming and helpful 24hr. I would definitely stay here again, fab experience.

Very decent budget accommodation. I wasn’t happy about the large amount of mold on the bathroom ceiling, but I was happy about how quickly the staff got someone in to clean it after I told them about it. The room itself was very small but clean, warm, and safe-feeling.

It is a small hotel in an area with similar small hotels which offers a basic room with a bathroom for a very decent price. The rooms are small but if you just need a place to stay for the night and to wash up in-it works just fine.

It seriously needed a complete renovation.
Carpet in my room is dirty and has stains on it.
Pillow a bit hard, and very squeaky bed and floor!
Very tiny shower area in toilet only just managed to fit in and drain is partially clogged and very slow to drain, i thought it would overflow while i was having a shower and flood the whole toilet thus i kept turning the water on and off while having a shower.
The only plus point was the staffs were really helpful.
Will not stay there ever again!!!

I want to say I will not recommend this "Hotel" to people for four reasons:
1. The room is cold at night because the heating is off overnight.
2. Basic washing items such as shower gel and shampoo are not provided for customers at the Hotel level.
3. The main door of the hotel is controlled by the hands of the hotel staff (owner) so every time the customer can not enter without his permission.
4. The staff (owner) was not polite and shouted at me "Why only you" when I needed him to open the main door as the remote control was out of work.

Very dusty and we had to leave early as we were all suffering with allergies eg wheezy sneezy chest tightness runny nosed

Comfortable, clean and convenient. Nothing to write home about and a little tired in places, but very good value for money.

Could not fault it really, would very happily stay again

The hotel is cozy and comfy. The owner and his wife are kind, friendly and always ready to help, his promptness for service is outstanding.

The hotel was conveniently located and close to shops, eating places and London Paddington train station. The cost could have included breakfast in it.

We had a lovely overnight stay, clean, easy to find, great price…little tired but what do you expect at this price point? Would definitely stay again

Room I stayed in is in basement. Worse than a jail cell. It should not qualify even as a hotel room.

Horrible hotel filthy smelly just horrible can’t believe it does not get shut down. Don’t stay here

Staffs are friendly ,the room is very tiny that there is only one square tea table of around 1.5 sq feet, but a tv is put on it. You need to choose either watch the tv or use the table for the hot water boiling and cups. Suggest hang the tv on the wall. Shower head is fixed and small, suggest use a larger hand held shower head is much better.

Nice location

For the price, it's hard to complain. The room was clean with toiletries issues, a kettle, tea/coffee. My only complaint would be we found the mattress to be a bit uncomfortable. Overall the hotel was pleasant and the owners are really nice. I would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in central London on the cheap.

So underrated. Loved this place so much and loved the price even more
