The location of the hotel is situated in a trendy alley that has some cozy places to drink and eat. The area feels less busy. It’s a small 1 minute walk to the lake.
The room was spacious compared to other old quarter hotels in the area. The room was comfortable. Airconditioning was working well.
We booked the room last minute on the same day as check in. The staff did their very best to help us into our room fast. That was much appreciated.
Breakfast was OK and had enough options available. Eggs can be ordered in various styles.
The breakfast room has a stunning view of the lake temple, which can be viewed from the skybar as well.

The staff were amazing, very accommodating. The chef put on a special Vietnamese dinner for our family of 6, we are very grateful for our experience.

We booked a suite with King bed. The bath tub and shower combo was a little concerning as it is very high up and you'd have to climb up into; can be a major trip hazard for older adults. I am in my late 30's and had a hard time. When the tub was wet, i nearly killed myself trying to get in to shower. Again, the tub function did not work. To make up for the room, the staff was extrememlt hospitable. Very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. They made the e perience enjoyable at the hotel. Always making sure we were happy with our stay. I would recommend this hotel for its close proximity to Hoa Kiem Lake and eateries.

Great hotel at the best location. Walking distance to a lot of sites and food places. The staffs are very friendly and accommodating. If ever I come back to Hanoi again, I will definitely book this place again.

The Bonsella Hotel is in a prime location with easy access to the attractions in and around the Old Quarter. The room itself was clean, sizeable, and matched the photographs on the website. The staff were helpful and operated a seamless check-in and check-out process, and were able to accommodate specific room requests. If visiting Hanoi in the future, I will certainly consider returning to Bonsella Hotel.
On checking in, it became apparent that the safe in my room was not functioning correctly and was unusable. I raised this with the front desk who were unfortunately unable to assist at the time and had mentioned it would be logged and looked at the following morning; I did not receive any further updates on this. There is also a certain amount of sound leakage between rooms, such as hearing conversations / the toilet flushing in the room next door. While not a huge deal, this could be problematic in a longer stay.

Best location in the old quarter with Restaurants, bars, coffeeshops just outside the hotel. The lake just 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Wonderful, helpful and always happy staff and really good breakfast with amongst all fresh fruit and freshly made eggdishes like omelette or scrambled eggs. Great rooms with a really good bed and a modern bathroom! I We loved everything with Bonsella and I strongly recommend it to all people going to Hanoi!!
Perfectly located in Old Hanoi, walking distance to main attractions in the old town. The staff were great and went out of their way to ensure we were happy. For example, we've lost and item in a bus we went for a Ha Long Bay tour and they contacted the tour company, found the item, and had it delivered to our room, all within 2 hours - amazing! The breakfast was great with many Asian & Western food choices, as well as with made-to-order dishes. The bed was comfortable and the AC provided sufficient cooling to make the stay pleasent.
The shower in the bathroom needs some attention as it was leaking.
