Hotel perfecto para visitar Beirut
Pros:

Disappointing
Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

I booked this hotel expecting a comfortable and safe stay, but the reality was extremely disappointing and unacceptable.

The photos we saw online and booked from London did not match the reality of the rooms at all. On arrival, I was given a room without a toilet seat, located on a renovation floor that was disgusting and unhygienic. I had to go to reception and show the images from the hotel’s own website to prove I had booked an executive suite. Instead of being apologetic, the receptionist was dismissive, full of attitude, and told me it was “a non-renovated room” as though it was acceptable to give to paying guests. After standing my ground for a long time, I eventually got the room I had paid for — but I should never have had to fight for it.

We were a group of 10, and every couple in our party had issues with their rooms. When we raised our concerns, the receptionist repeatedly tried to intimidate us by suggesting we “check out” instead of helping us resolve the problems. On multiple occasions, she even muttered comments under her breath, including “God give me patience,” which we clearly understood. This behaviour was rude, unprofessional, and insulting.

The housekeeping team were equally unpleasant. When I requested fresh towels (as my partner had showered before the daily cleaning service), the cleaner refused and gave me attitude, telling me to “ask reception” even though the hotel provides daily towels. Despite clarifying I wouldn’t need any left after cleaning, she still refused.

What was most alarming, however, was the fire incident. While sitting on the rooftop, we noticed smoke, and it was actually a woman from the opposite building who shouted across that there was a fire. Shockingly, the fire alarm inside the hotel had already gone off multiple times but was ignored by staff. Only when the situation became undeniable did they acknowledge a fire was happening. There was also a serious delay in contacting the fire brigade.
