The location was fantastic, the open fire was really nice and kept the property warm. The grounds were amazing and the drive through the estate was very scene setting. The views from the balcony were idyllic, the complete disconnect from the outside world was very much appreciated.
Inside the property is dated, really needed a good clean and maybe some form of refurb. Bathroom was very dirty when we first arrived and we did what we could to clean it up, towel rail even had toothpaste on it (not ours!). Television very old and struggled with signal on most channels. Hot tub as nice as it was to have was only partially working. Toilet rolls that were supplied were wet, crockery and glasses were dirty.
Brilliant location and great price with plenty of space.
Little tired inside but still nice and excellent value for money.
Thr ambiance of the Estate. The friendliness of the owners. The quality of the accommodation and the facilities. The warmth of our cottage.
The fact that we couldn't stay longer!
Beautiful estate , golf course and architecture
No independent shower , no shower curtain, desperately in need of redecoration as paint peeling, uncomfortable bed, cold , dusty and tired - was not worth the money at all .
Hot tub,
Living room fire.

The beautiful position and building.
Cleanliness and attention to detail of the inside. Supposed to have a restaurant at the golf club but it only did bar meals.
The house is in a lovely spot in the estate and the front garden is great for outside dining. There is some lovely antique furniture in the house and the house itself is a lovely building.
Having paid £2500 for 3 mights I expected a far better standard of decoration and equipment. There is only one stand in shower serving 5 bedrooms. The other bathrooms have showers attached to the taps and there are no shower curtains meaning you have to sit in the bath to use them. The duvets had stains of urine or semen on them and there were pubic hairs on the mattress covers. The wall paper was peeling off some of the walls. There were no batteries in the TV remote. The mattress in the main bedroom double bed was very worn and the springs were evident making it uncomfortable to sleep on. There were limited cooking utensils in the kitchen and a very small fridge and freezer considering the house can sleep over 12 people. There were no cereal bowls to use for breakfast We found the fridge far too small for 9 of us. The staff were hard to find and only spoke a couple of words to us as we arrived and left with no enquiry about how we found our stay at the property. Overall a disappointing stay to say the least.
Great location. Hot Tub was excellent. The staff were brilliant. Another night would have been great. Will definitely recommend.
Only downside was that the WiFi didn't work and an 11am check out would have been preferred.
Pretty heritage cottage in a lovely location within extremely well kept stunning grounds, and golf course.
Some dated decor, and bathrooms
I proposed to my partner on the balcony overlooking the lake, incredible scenery and location.
Beautiful location. Beds comfortable. Recieved lots of information before arrival about the stay and things to do locally. The cottages were in a surrounding courtyard but couldn’t hear anyone else on site
Needs some updating and missing some amenities like wardrobe (only hanging space was hooks on wall), only 2 dining chairs for sleeping 6 and no breakfast bowls (just pasta bowls and nibble bowls)
Lovely estate and we attended a wedding which was beautiful outdoors
Cottage was not cleaned well and full of spider webs and spiders. Beds were creaky and duvet covers were bad quality
