Het hotel ligt prachtig aan de Rijn en dicht bij het historisch centrum

Cons:

De trap bij het binnenkomen van het hotel in combinatie met de dubbele zware ingangsdeur: ze moeten daar dringen iets aan doen

Basel von der schönsten Seite und die ganze Stadt vor der Tür.
Pros:

Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Grosse Hilfsbereitschaft im Zusammenhang mit der Baustelle beim Eingang sowie beim Parking mit einer sehr guten Variante in der Nähe.
Aussergewöhnlich schöne Lage am Rheinufer nahe den Zentren in Kleinbasel und Grossbasel, in nächster Nähe des öffentlichen Nahverkehrs. Freie Fahrt in Basel.
Grosszügiges bequemes Zimmer mit traumhafter Aussicht. Romantischer Frühstücksraum mit Blick auf den Rhein.

Cons:

Momentan leider eine Baustelle vor dem Haus mit erschwerter Zufahrt. Im Zimmer gegen den Rhein allerdings keine Beeinträchtigung.

excellent location, old and uncomfortable facilities
Pros:

LOcation and very friendly stuff

Cons:

Bad rooms, small bathrooms, shower cabin extremly small, washing sink extremly small, when you wash your face all the water ends on the floor, dirty and old floor in the rooms, this is definetely not a 4 star hotel....... too expensive for so little.....

Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen
Pros:

Wunderschönes Hotel in einem geschichtsträchtigen Gebäude - die letzten Stunden der drey scheenschte Dääg hab ich’s mir im Zimmer gemütlich gemacht - und war dennoch mittendrin, einfach wundervoll!

Exceptionally polite staff and excellent location, some serious issues yet.
Pros:

The location of the hotel is amazing. You can go to many places on foot and it's a one minute walk to a tram and bus stop.
The staff is extremely kind and helpful in anything you might need and in any time.

Cons:

Unfortunately there is a huge problem with soundproofing of the rooms. You hear EVERYTHING from other rooms from the vibration of a phone to the snoring of another person. The 2nd night of my stay I woke up from the snoring and sounds of the next room and I was never able to fall back asleep. Room cleaning starts really early and you can hear it no matter the point of the floor they are at as floors are really old.

Lastly the breakfast was okay, but towards the end one of the staff members started collecting the cheese to put it back without any equipment or gloves on but with their bare hands. That's why I did not have breakfast there the second day.
