Venice without the chaos

A peaceful luxury escape away from the Venice crowds

Staying at the JW Marriott Venice was one of the highlights of our Italy trip. After spending the day exploring busy Venice, returning to the private island felt incredibly relaxing. The complimentary boat shuttle was smooth and actually became part of the experience.

The rooftop pool overlooking the lagoon is stunning, especially in the evening, and the whole resort has a calm atmosphere with beautiful gardens and open space that you rarely find in Venice. Breakfast was excellent with a huge variety of fresh options, and the staff throughout the resort were consistently warm and professional.

The hotel works especially well if you want to combine sightseeing with real relaxation. It feels more like a luxury Mediterranean resort than a typical Venice hotel.

A small thing to keep in mind is that you depend on the shuttle schedule, so spontaneous late-night returns require a little planning. Still, for us the peaceful atmosphere more than made up for it.

Highly recommended for couples, families, or anyone wanting a quieter and more exclusive Venice experience.

Top 10 hotel for me

This hotel blew me away. This will be the only
Hotel I stay at in Venice. Took us a minute or two to find the transfer but once we did we had no issues. I was worried with our limited time in Venice that the transfer schedule would be a burden, but it was totally fine. It was so peaceful here. The welcome of the staff was so friendly on the pier and then at the front desk. The rooftop pool was amazing. Great staff up there too. I didn’t know breakfast was included so that was a great surprise and it was perfect. I will 100% be coming back here and this time with my family so we can explore the whole island. Top 10 hotel for me.

Konaklamamız boyunca çok rahat ettik. Sagra’yı çok beğendik. Shuttle servisinden oldukça memnun kaldık; seferlerin sıklığı ve konforu çok iyiydi. Çalışanlar da son derece ilgili ve güler yüzlüydü. Tek önerim, çocuklar için Kids Club alanının biraz daha geliştirilmesi ve daha havadar hale getirilmesi olur.

Principalement : le petit déjeuner : pas assez de place quand il pleut (et il pleut régulièrement) ; beaucoup trop de bruit dans cet endroit ; qualité de la nourriture (hormis les fromages) ; le temps d’attente pour avoir une place puis le café
Le personnel faisait tout son possible, pas de remarque

Dommage d’avoir un spa trop petit et payant. Pas à la hauteur de tout le reste.

been to much better 5 star hotels, overpriced, only two restaurants which were mediocre

The staff were outwardly friendly but not at all accomodating. only two restaurants which were mediocre, for a hotel spa and resort on its own island not enough. no hahal options despite the notice that they asked for. told room was one of the best but small window felt closed in. no english tv chanalls. no tissues in the room. breakfast options limited. very over priced would not recommend, better off staying around san marco and having good access.
