Das Frühstück war sehr gut mit sehr großer Auswahl. Besonders gefallen hat uns
die Möglichkeit sich selbst ein Omelette zusammenzustellen, welches nach frischer Zubereitung direkt an den Tisch gebracht wird, sodass kein langes Anstehen notwendig ist. Auch Kaffee und Tee wird nach Bestellung direkt an den Tisch gebracht. (was für ein 5 Stern Hotel aus meiner Sicht allerdings Standard ist)
Generell ist die Lage des Hotels auf einer Privatinsel in der Lagune von Venedig etwas Besonderes. Das Hotel liegt in einem wunderschönen Park mit herrlichen Ausblick auf Venedig von der Rooftop Bar, an der es auch einen Rooftop Pool gibt. Weiters gibt es auch ein Spa mit einem weiteren Pool, sowie einen Family outdoor Pool, den wir aufgrund der Jahreszeit jedoch nicht genutzt haben. Das Fitnessstudio befindet sich in einem gesonderten Gebäude und war top ausgestattet. Durch den regelmäßigen Shuttle zum Marktplatz ist die Anreise nach Venedig kein Problem, bei Stoßzeiten lohnt es sich jedenfalls früher zu kommen, da das Shuttle recht voll werden kann und man ansonsten auf das nächste Shuttle warten muss. Wir hatten bei der Rückfahrt abends einmal das Pech ein volles Shuttle vorzufinden, wurden dann aber als Alternative mit Privatwassertaxis zum Hotel gebracht. Da man in Venedig ohnehin ständig mit dem Boot unterwegs sein muss, hat uns der tägliche Transfer in und aus der Stadt auch nicht weiter gestört.

Cons:

Laktosefreies Joghurt war leider nicht jeden Tag verfügbar. Ich habe an den Tagen als es nicht verfügbar war, jedoch nicht explizit danach gefragt, da ich etwas anderes gegessen habe. Vermute aber, dass es auf Nachfrage gebracht worden wäre. Das Personal war generell sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich.

La struttura è unica, posizione suggestiva e bella. Colazione veramente eccellente.

Cons:

Ho trovato la struttura un po’ stanca e non proprio curata come durante il mio soggiorno di qualche anno fa. Ho avuto alcuni problemi tecnici in stanza (termostato non funzionante, telefono non funzionante, televisione difettosa che si è accesa per ben 3 volte durante la notte) addirittura nell’avanti e indietro per sistemare questi problemi, qualcuno della manutenzione è entrato in stanza senza nemmeno bussare… ora non è esattamente il tipo di servizio che mi aspetto da un hotel come il JW Mariott..

Lovely hotel but some limitations
Pros:

All the hotel staff we encountered were very professional, friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, and they left a lovely little cake for my husband's birthday, which was a nice gesture. The turn-down service in the evenings was appreciated. The hotel grounds were lovely too with a little seating area where you could watch the sun rise or set.

Cons:

Even though the hotel was lovely, for a short trip to Venice Im not sure I would stay on the island again. It meant our day revolved around boat shuttle times, which some people might not mind, but we found it restrictive.
For a 5-star hotel, breakfast was OK. Tea was always 'warm' (not hot) which is a pet hate of mine and the options were a bit limited.
