The pool was great 👍
We received misinformation about entry to the hotel compound at night.
On arrival our room our door latch was not working. In short it was 1 hour before we were relocated to another room. It was very hot and we had driven 2 hours so this was a big problem. I asked for an upgrade and was told we had one of the best rooms but we were not offered any thing for the inconvenience of waiting an hour for a room.
The service man who came to fix the door thought this was all very amusing and we were just silly and didn't know how to open a door.
The sheets didn't fit the bed and the doona didn't have a cover, just a smaller top sheet under it and a smaller sheet on top of the doona.
The wine fridge didn't work, the cord was cut on the back of it.
The website said the hotel had room service but when we called to enquire about it we were told there's no room service 😒
We were both very disappointed and will not be returning or giving any recommendations to stay at the Swan River Hotel. VERY POOR!!!!
Location, clean and comfortable
Can tidy room finishes simply, as room is good and could just be finished better for minimal cost, eg cable management, no hand towel, no milk or teaspoons, no facial tissues.
Had a wonderful stay at Swan River Hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the river views were beautiful and relaxing. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. Great location and peaceful atmosphere. Would definitely stay again.

No Milk in room for 2 days stay. Asked cleaners for milk so we could have coffee and they said no milk is left in the rooms??
Aboriginal people fighting in hotel. Tried called reception 3 times for help and no one answered.

we were forced to book this at short notice due to extenuating circumstances. We had a baby in our group and needed one of our rooms a few hours early to let him sleep etc. The Manager chose to charge us a discretionary fee for this. Overall the property is tired and run down.
We stayed in the heritage rooms. Just beautiful.
High ceilings, large rooms. Well appointed wish i had arrived earlier and got to enjoy it more.
